Cowboys releasing Jaylen Smith

    I say bring him in and see what he has. He is talented. I am sure he will be gone
    quickly.

    Apparently they cut him due to injury guarantees. If he sustained a serious injury they’d be on the hook for his hefty 2022 salary. They are loaded at LB and cutting him now removes that risk.

    He also has not played well of course, I haven’t watched much of the Cowboys but this wasn’t a massive surprise to some of the Dallas analysts I have heard talking about it.

    Good point although I feel it must be stated that there seems to be a big hole in their teaching inside backers so it could be another talented player that they wreck.
