Bradley may be a Kiffin disciple. But don't confuse his front, to the tampa 2. Bradley has built a hybrid front of 34 and 43 principles (a mix of 1 gap and 2 gap).

You say you fully understand tech/gap definitions, but you clearly stated something very incorrect: " 2-gap NT is zero tech.... 1-gap NT is a one tech."

A 1 Tech doesn't NEED to attack the gap he's on commanding a double team... that's what he does WHEN he's 1 gapping. When he 2 gaps he needs to drive the center into the off A gap, and have the technique to disengage and be able to fill the gap he started in.

Bradley's approach is NOT responsive... it's his base defense.

And even when the flip to their Over front.... the still 2 gap their NT from the 1 Tech (a simple "i was wrong" will suffice ;)

I love the Hargrave pick. And it's clear, that they view him as a 1 gapper, who can stay all 3 downs.

He's clearly our most talented, I mean, it's not even close. whether he can translate that talent to production remains to be seen.

I agree. Hargrave has star potential.

When describing 0-tech 2gap vs 1 tech 1 gap it was in the context of Classic usage among most teams and most snaps. I didn't mean to be purely limited to that's the ONLY time it is EVER used but I forgot I was dealing with someone who likes to nit pick every word and dissect and over analyse it to death. If you're going to this extent you should have included the "Bear" as I'm sure we can do that with Dupree-Heyward-Hargrave-Tuiit-Deebo.

I wouldn't limit Kiffin to just the Tampa-2< that's disrespectful to all he's done and remember. The Tamps-2's real roots lie with Bud Carson.

Dupree is not clearly our most talented and it isn't close. He may have the most upside but production has to be factored in when referring to most talented and Dupree's talent is of late unrealized. Hopefully that changes.......soon.

Yes, Bradley is blending the 3-4/4-3 and maybe that's where we're heading to a degree............ time will tell.

Hilarious. You call ME out for being wrong about tech/gaps. I correct you. And now your gonna use the "nitpicking" excuse., while back tracking to some argument about "classic usage"..... I'm sorry you're not familiar with this stuff. This isn't some new invention in the NFL. 1 Techs can have 1 gap or 2 gap assignments, and that has been around for a long time. The combination of 34/43 fronts as exampled with Gus is pretty much the standard in today's NFL.

It's about disguise. You CAN'T tell me whether the 1 tech is 1 gapping or 2 gapping, especially if the Mike is disguising his intentions well.

There was no "classic usage" context. There was me, presenting formation/alignments, and you criticizing them by stating that 1 techs, are 1 gap players. You were wrong, I tried to help/show you that, but you aren't gracious enough to admit it.

"Classic usage" is a pretty poor cop out... in a thread about the present.

I wouldn't trot out Rex Ryan's Jet's playbook without a Revis to lock down one side.

I see no relevance to this comment other than you feeling good about making an anecdotal historical reference.

disagree. talent, is relative to ability. James ability is waning. Dupree is the most talented edge rusher on the team.

I'm glad you're caught up now. You seemed unaware of the blend in your first response regarding tech/gaps/NT.

    edit: i missed this

No. But if i explain why this is wrong, you will probably just come back with "nitpicking" or how i some how missed the "classical usage" context, in a present day conversation.
