Could the Steelers lose a late round draft pick due to Sidelinegate?

I don't remember saying there's no way he didn't do it on purpose, think I said it was my opinion that he did it on purpose. I also never said anyone was cheating, those are your words. What I said is what he did is wrong. And there is a difference when it comes to a player vs. a coaches actions when it comes to what happens on the field of play, a coach should never get involved physically in the field of play IMO.
As far as Cower Ray D pretty much summed up the difference with Cower and Tomlin. Although I really don't see how what Cower did has any bearing on what punishment Tomlin has coming

I'd be a little surprised by a suspension, I think a sizable fine is coming though.

And how in the Hell is the width of that White line going to give Tomlin a better view of the Jumbotron than if he just stood where he's supposed to?

Just for clarification, a penalty would not have awarded Baltimore a touchdown according to Mike Pereira.

these comment under kaboly article sum it up perfectly

Jeff Meyers I've been a Steelers fan since i was born in 1970

Tomlin's actions were easily seen as intentional. He clearly is looking out of the corner of his eyes prior to moving out of the way at the last second. Then his Cheshire cat smile on the sideline, after no penalty didn't help his claims of innocence.

While i agree with Kaboly on the dolphins doing far worse by accepting a locker room culture out of control. if the Steelers lose a draft pick Tomlin should go.

He speaks well but that is it, HIS only stamp on the Steelers are his clichés

WHICH HAVE GROWN TIRESOME, EASILY SEEN BY THE ACTIONS OF HIS PLAYERS AND ASST COACHES.

Defense? he came in as a Tampa 2 guy, no problem Pittsburgh doesn't use it we have Dick Lebeau.

Offense? we haven't had a good line or a great offense since Russ Grimm was passed over. While Arians won... a SB he was run out of town with far more accomplishments since.

Finally while Tomlin was not hired solely because of his ethnicity, in regards to the Steelers it would be just as naïve to say that they were not forced to hire a minority due to the Rooney Rule.

Tomlin was overcompensated by Cowher's players and Lebeau's defense, he now is left to his own draft picks and asst coaches as the latter careers are gone and coming to an end

Left to his own devices Tomlin is failing this organization, now he is tarnishing the same organizations image that absorbed hiring him.

And Im afraid its run its course.

Correct. A TD could have been awarded had he physically made contact or if he impeded him a heck of a lot more then what happened.

I seem the one where he was eating the Turkey leg after the game, he may have made light of it, but he said he had to change directions. Maybe not in those exact words though. Maybe I interpreted it wrong? Who knows. Either way it was a dumb move on Tomlin's part.

I believe after the Jets incident, the rule was passed that all players and coaches have to be set back, except for the head coach. The head coach can run on the field to call a time out.

As for stepping with the right foot, this is a natural reaction, you must push off to the right in order to go left. To do it quickly, you would apply additional force. QB's arms go back to throw the ball forward, so do pitchers. If you are lined up to start running, you set on foot back, beyond your center of gravity to get a good push. So I believe his foot work was consistent with being startled.

The replay that is from above, shows Tomlin looking up at the Jumbotron, when he first comes into view. Realizing that he was close to the play, he looks back and steps off. Keep in mind, his reflexes are not as quick as players. He has a bit of weight to move.

While I don't see it as intentional, I agree with Tomlin when he admitted he was wrong. His smirk, comes from that realization. To all the what-if Hairball scenarios, he would have turned around and started yelling at the refs as if it was their fault. But the thought that this brings disgrace to the organization is laughable. We are all human and it was a mistake.

Tomlin didn't start .............gate. The dopes in the media did. My 11th grade history teacher made us watch the Watergate hearings in class (if you could stay awake). Since then, everything questionable gets the "gate" stuck on by the media. I'm so sick of this! Be original!

Oh come on now! LOL that's absurd. :lolol: It's the opposite of natural and its counter intuitive. Try it for yourself. Just stand there with you feet next to each other and jump to the left as quickly as possible. It's completely UNNATURAL to step right first. Stepping right first actually takes LONGER for you to move left. Plus if you are truly startled by something to your right, why would you step TOWARD it first? If you are startled you are going to want to get away from it as quickly as possible. Those examples that you gave are all planned movement. Someone who consciously lines up to run is very different from someone who is startled and is trying to get out of the way.

As far as Tomlin looking up, thats just wrong. At 0:00 he is looking over his shoulder. When the video isn't clicked, the still shot is of Tomlin looking up, but that is from the end of the clip after JJ was tackled.

He didn't start the fire either.
It was Harry Truman. Or was it Doris Day? Johnny Ray?

It's a satirical NFL news site. At least, that's how I perceive it.
