Shouldn't you have a little knowledge of other teams if you are going to write about them? This guy acts like starting 2 rookies on the line is worse then what we had last year and the most egregious is when he says our RB situation is a mess  He's obviously a cryboys fan that just wants Wallace on his team.

Right? I hope he warmed up and stretched before making those kinds of reaches. It read to me like his boss said 'I need an article that fits Mike Wallace in with the Cowboys somehow. Have it on my desk in an hour', and the writer said, '<gulp> I'll do my best, chief.' :lolol:

I would totally make that trade....and in return I want a 2013 first round pick and a 2015 first round pick....and Demarcus Ware and Lawrence Vickers........why no 2014 pick pick? I didn't want to look greedy :dancing:

All seriousness left when I saw, 'team aiming for the Super Bowl', while talking about the cryboys.

Unless they move the Super Bowl up a few months, thats not a concern. We all know the crybabys QB doesnt play after Dec.

Yeah, I'd pull the trigger and trade Wallace for a couple 1st rounders. But, all the more reason I was scratching my head awhile back when I read we already gave him Haley's new playbook. IMO, not real smart to give something like that to an un-signed restricted free agent, and then trade him before he even takes his first practice.

Probably because they don't have any intention of trading him. He's their property till next year. Even if Wallace holds out into the season (which I don't think he will), he's still be back on the field for the last 7 games.

who cares by then though? thats just enough to mess up the chemistry the rest have worked to establish. i'm not sure if the bye week counts. i've read everywhere that it's 6 games to equal a season.

ANd yet that is just what people want in regards to Mendenhall. IT doesn't seem to matter what type of chemistry the team might develop over those 6 weeks he is on the PUP or if the team is winning, they think he will step right in and let the good times roll. When in all likelihood it will takes him longer to get into game shape and he should be eased back in. Sorry if I am hijacking the thread just seemed like an interesting sidepoint.

"Wallace would likely get on board because of the warm weather climate in Texas and the indoor stadium"

    ....really?

Things you need to know about the author of this piece of crap article, Erik Lambert:
Other articles he has written; "Could the Pittsburgh Steelers deal Mike Wallace for Miles Austin", "Could the Denver Broncos bring Mike Wallace from the Pittsburgh Steelers", and "Should the Minnesota Vikings Seek Mike Wallace from the Pittsburgh Steelers".
and Under Me, it has "People say about me- I'm Pretty fly for a white guy"
Under what he's looking for- Decorating Tips.
Honestly think that besides being fascinated with Mike Wallace, Eric Lambert is closely related to Adam Lambert.

Not the ideal situation but they may feel chemistry or no, that someone of his talent would only help. Plus, lot of variables, they could suffer an injury and his return at that point would be a Godsend. But I doubt Wallace holds out till then, if he comes back and plays ****ty because he isn't in football shape, he'd only hurt his next contract. He'll be here at the beginning of the season and just play for a big contract next year.

Here is the latest news on signing MW as of 2 days ago:
CBS Sports' Jason LaCanfora confirms the Steelers "continues to make headway" in long-term contract talks with restricted free agent Mike Wallace.GM Kevin Colbert has made it clear the organization wants to build around the dangerous vertical threat, and LaCanfora reports Wallace's camp is "motivated" to stay in Pittsburgh as well. Although there's no real deadline to finalize the deal, both sides are working to get Wallace into training camp to pick up snaps in Todd Haley's offense after missing out on offseason practices.
