Could Martavis Be Better Than AB?

This is a tough question because they play a very different game. AB has insane hands and is almost impossibly elusive. He beats you with perfect routes, then can make you miss on a dime after he gets the ball. He can turn any play into a big play by being shifty.

Martavis will be a bigger threat in the red zone because he is taller and does a pretty good job high pointing the football. He can blow the top off the defense with straight line speed, and uses that same speed to take short throws for big gains. He's not shifty like AB, but he is strong and fast... Which is a very good combo.

I think Bryant can become an elite WR. He has all the physical tools and seems so far to have a good work ethic. He spent a lot of time working this offseason on his strength and it shows.

Unfortunately under the salary cap it will be tough to keep both. Especially since Bell is due his pay the year before Bryant, and they sure as hell aren't letting Bell go anywhere. Do you go with the shorter, hard working vet who is already a top WR... or the taller, young emerging star? Personally I think they end up going with AB since he is safer money. He's already a great WR, and doesn't have the drug thing hanging over him.

We will cross that road when the time comes tho. Hopefully both have plenty of big games in the next 2 1/2 years they are both under contract with us for.

    Sorry for the novel haha

I think we need to see MB in more ball games played
before we can start comparing these two. Lets say another season of full games, and then we can revisit.

It seems like I'm on the same page with the responses. I do like the comparison to Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. It sums up AB and MB quite nicely!

Regarding the salary cap comment, I really hope the front office can somehow make it work when the time comes. We shall see!

No but hopefully they can go down as one of the best WR tandems to ever play in the NFL!

No...but very talented. Our trio reminds me of the old cincy trio (chad, housh, and henry). Henry was a steelers killer. So much attention is paid to #1 and #2 ...that if you have a talented #3...he's gonna be the X factor!
