with all the injuries to WR's happening, I am having more and more doubts that we will get a big mover in the WR dep't.

yes - this is the problem now into week 8, (supply and demand and COST) which is why I think our WR roster is set.

Van Jefferson can play, I do believe. Russ will bring it out of him. and Austin (yes, he dropped an easy catch) can make plays too.

 

Kupp or Thielen would be nice to have. Not sure if they would make a huge difference.

I think Christian Kirk would be much more interesting on this team... You could line him up in the slot and he could just take the top off of coverage.

 

Austin not so much IMHO

He was targeted 4 times Sunday and caught 1. His catch rate is barely above 50%. By contrast Freiermuth is at 83%.

By the way Darnell Washington is 10 of 11, 4 for 4 Sunday.

Roman Wilson being a healthy scratch every week is telling. At least it tells me Tomlin does not like what he sees in his early development.

No, not possibly. Every single one of those teams is better off than the Steelers even after their injuries.

 

I am not sure the depleted 49ers are better that us right now.They are 3-4 right now...And I am not sure the bucs are better that us,healthy or not but this is just my opinion

Would be nice to have a zero drama top WR.

 

Roman Wilson hated the pick when we took him. Despise the pick now.
Glad we took another OL in first round too, which has played like 2 series the whole season.
The khan man is the greatest of all time .
Brian Thomas could have helped this team maybe win the Super Bowl this season, we will never know.
Maybe next season we can draft another OL in first round and someone will start another thread about getting a WR through trade.

 

I think Muth and Washington can have a very productive period with Russ, it's Smith's job to bring it about.
