Connor Heyward Runningback Michigan St

Watching the Chic-fil-A Peach bowl between Pitt and Michigan St. Cameron Heywards little brother Connor Heyward plays Fullback for the Spartans!! Looks to be a good player!! Big boy as well!!

 

We were discussing this in the game thread a bit.

 

I'd like to see Cam Heyward used at FB to be honest. I like watching car crashes too.

 

Steelers can't even use a real FB correctly let alone using a defensive player as one.

 

For as much as Derek Watt is making he should be returning kickoffs, place holding and co-ordinating the offense.

 

This kid was off the radar. I remember seeing Cam play at Peachtreee Ridge but am not familiar with Connor. Has good pedigree though.

 

What's a fullback? Asking for Tomlin....

Watching him, I was thinking that an H-back who could block and catch would be interesting if we actually commit to the run. Of course that is how they said DW could be. I wonder what kind of draft projection he might be.

 

Are you old enough to remember William “The Refrigerator” Perry for Da Bears?

 

I was a kid but yeah knew about him about 1991 or so I'd guess. Was the first giant NT or at least one of them in that Bears 46 defense of the 80s. Walter Payton was infuriated and embarrassed when the Fridge ran in a TD in the 85-86 Super Bowl instead of him.

I remember Domato (spelling) Peko running over Troy as a FB! Hahha
