The much bigger news is Nix missing another game, not Switzer. That hurts the running game and special teams.

 

Colin Dunlap said this morning on 93.7 that Joe Haden might not play because of the stomach flu. If he does play it will probably be in a limited role. Expect to see Artie Burns playing around 20-25 snaps trying to cover OBJ and Jarvis Landry. Hopefully Haden can have a fast recovery by game time.

 

That better be a hell of a stomach flu for a guy not to play at all. Load up on Pepto Bismol and get out here.

Yeah... Haden better play. A 60% Haden is better than a 150% Burnt.

Lest we forget this is also a very short week. From a recovery stand point these Thurs night games are ridicules anyway, getting weakened from a bug (whatever it might be) just adds more problems for the body.

 

Drop the Thursday night games.

 

The only good thing about Thurs games is we get a longer period to recoup till next game. We'll need it as we go down to Bungle Land and face another sub 500 team. I would personally like to ask the Steelers organization to not leave us with an L for nearly a week and a half. I prefer to sit and watch others sweat it out on Sundays with a fresh W in my pocket.

 

Would be the smart move but I'm at the point where every time he takes a hit I pray he isn't injured. Kind of like every time the Steelers have a big play instead of jumping up and down excited, I look for that damn yellow flag first.
