Conner is on his way to Pittsburgh for an MRI on the shoulder he injured yesterday. Was also seen in a sling.

Yeah I'm just saying that wasn't from yesterday. Everyone was waiting for him to be out there blowing people up. A lot joked that Tomlin held him out for the other players safety.

C'mon James time to put your big boy pants on. I have high hopes for you.
Side note, Keion Adams cousin and a friend were murdered last week in NC.
He hasn't missed a practice. You talk about dedication, wow. I am rooting for him to make roster.

Yeah I think he did that when he beat cancer

    Injuries are part of football.

People don't understand that. I witnessed what my mom went through and I still don't understand how he would go from treatment to practice also rehabbing a torn up knee. I will never doubt his toughness.

This is what I feared when they drafted him: You can try to run over guys in college but NO back can do that so much in NFL. You will get hurt. This is a big time bummer.

It also could just be something that is going to hold him out a week but with Bell holding out we are short on backs.

I wish Connor all the best and hope he has a fantastic career.

But I don't think he will (I'd be happy to be wrong). He's had a major knee surgery and cancer, that takes a lot out of you to start with. His running style is likely to get him hurt or shorten his career. I suspect in two or three years, he'll be finished or close to it.

    Earl Campbell

    But he was an exception.

Big time exception. A) Earl's pedigree was a lot better, he was a no-doubt Heisman winner and the #1 overall pick in the draft and B) it was nearly 40 yrs ago. And even with that the guy barely started 100 games. So he got used too.

I hope not to serious as I see him as the RB of the future,I think this will be Bell's last year and I hope we don't have to spend another high draft pick on a RB anytime soon.

Its more likely he was tackled and hurt it when he landed on it.

Every back lowers the shoulder into defenders.

I was gonna mention Earl and a very few other exceptions. but Conner is nowhere near the beast Earl was. Conner could run people over in college but no way will he get away with that _MUCH_ in the NFL (He will be able to truck some DBs, not LBs). Even big Bettis often made tacklers miss, not choosing to run head on into defenders unless the situation called for it (running over Urlacher for TD in 2008). If Conner runs like he did in college, he won't last. Even safeties will ruin his day.

I'm thinking it happened on backs vs backers....probably wrenched it somehow. It is being reported as minor so MRI was probably precaution. Early reports have him looking pretty good....I don't think he will last as a bruiser but I see them wanting him to drop weight like Bell. Hell I even heard Toussaint is looking real good....he dropped 20lbs.

Dude, this may rank as one of the most ignorant comments of 2017. JC battled cancer by receiving treatments, and then going to practice. He beats cancer, and lands on a roster, and you say he should put on his "big boy pants." Man, I can't even......dude, you are better than that post!

See, I was going to post something similar then realized it would be asinine given the turmoil James has been through; a slap in the face to him no less.

I got dehydrated running a route at work a week or so ago and you talk about a terrible feeling. Man I couldn't focus. My head hurt. My muscles hurt. It was just awful. My supervisor told me that no matter what I can never push myself that hard again. He said his former brother in law had a heat stroke and it literally changed his whole personality and everything.
