I don't think this has to be all that complicated. Keep dancing with Conner while Bell finds shoes that fit, and if or when Conner becomes a nagging partner, you give Bell a shot. Either Conner continues to wow us with his routines or he doesn't. But what do I know, make it more complicated. Conner has earned everything this season and Bell has not. Besides, you bench Conner while he is flying high for a dink like Bell, and you take a chance of souring Conner.

 

He isnt better than bell nor on his level but I'm a fan now. He got that swag. Lol he was talking to deion talking about we aint worried bout nothing we got them goons. That's my guy now. And he womt probably ever be the best but he will be top ten in the league and very good.

 

Have Bell hold Conners helmet when Conner comes off the field.

 

Conner > Bell at this point. Like I said before, Bell is insignificant to the big picture. Until Bell starts producing in playoff games, he is no big loss to the Steelers.

 

My biggest fear isn't how good Bell is, it's Bell looking like himself after coming back. If he's rusty after two or three drives, that's his fault, and I yank his ass for Conner. He doesn't get the benefit of the doubt.

He's not coming back from a suspension (and the Steelers supported him), he's not coming back from an injury (and the Steelers also supported him then), he's coming back from holding out. Either he's REALLY good or Conner's RB1.

That's it. It should be plain and simple. It's all about winning.

Conner being legit means he's a good decoy too. Here's the long slant completion to JuJu but is set up by the '35 trap' and '36 trap' plays that we saw dozens of times work so successfully with Conner. This play looks at first glance like the '35 trap' but....no......Ben holds onto the ball, quick strike to JuJu and off to the races. Nice play call.

 

IF we continue to win with a nice streak going , I'd keep that POS as far away from the team as humanly possible. The media circus alone could knock things off the track. Its just not worth it.
