Congratulations Steelers on 19 Years Without a Losing Record

They only exist in your mind. Says a lot. I'm glad that, being handicapped early with a rookie QB, Trubisky , an awful OC, injuries, etc. that we finished with a better record than the Browns, Pats and Bradys (He's so good, he doesn't need a team around him)

 

There are those of us who support Tomlin because he's our coach. I can't think of anyone who would shed any tears if he got replaced by a better candidate.

 

No they didn’t achieve their goals. I’m not excited about the way we played earlier this season at all.
But acknowledging 19 years without a losing season doesn’t mean you’re settling for mediocrity. It does mean you’re happy that we didn’t make the playoffs.
It just means you’re acknowledging that it’s an impressive accomplishment. Nothing more nothing less.

 

Exceeded their goals. No one with an ounce of sanity looked at this roster, with garbage Mitch Trubisky as the opening day QB, and expected to finish 9-8. To argue the Steelers over achieved this season is an incredible understatement.

 

Agree. I’ve wanted to move on from Tomlin for a while now, but I’m not so blinded be it that I can’t distinguish facts from fiction.

We should be proud of Mike Tomlin. to rally the Steelers from such a dismal beginning. to finish above 500 .the steelers record was exactly what I thought it would be. we didnt make the playoffs. but we still suceeded in a winning season .unlike the loser pirates sucking every single year.

I never had playoff thoughts this year with this squad but happy to see what we have Pickett, Pickens is a beast, and admit the OL got a little better but still missing pieces. Many positives to take into the off season.

You and a lot of others in here need to learn the lesson of "enjoy the journey." Life is short, bro. No one wins the title every year. Only one other team in the NFL in the super bowl era has as many as we do. There is joy in the journey...you will have a better life if you learn to embrace it.

And other times we're the worst team TO make the playoffs. Those two themes are becoming a constant under Tomlin. Just bad enough to miss the playoffs, or just mediocre enough to make it and get demolished on national T.V. Ah, good times.

I like our team, with some tweaks( must hit on these) we can be

I'll agree they have some good pieces in place but without good leadership, this means absolutely nothing! Don't forget, continuing to do the same thing and expect a different result= INSANITY! If the Steelers do not improve in OL play and upgrade some of their front 7 defenders, they will be looking at a similar record by next season's end.
