He was a good pickup. I think the arrow is pointing up for the OL, with some continued development from the young fellas.

The O line is an enigma for me so lately I’ve been watching it and watching video focusing on it. From what I’ve seen and from the supposed experts posting the vids he’s the ONE standout.

This guy’s a beast, well deserved honor and great job team getting him!

Frazier and P Wilson. That alone would be a home run in a typical Colbert draft. Throw in McCormick plus the potential of Fautanu and R Wilson it’s a very good draft

One of the few bright spots moving forward the kid is our next great center.

Im not counting on R Wilson something is going on there more than meets the eyes. I am however hoping Troy F can be healthy and ball out next year.

Congrats Zach, WVU has an OT Wyatt Milum I would not mind having in this up coming draft.
Don't believe we will go in that direction in draft but he could fit nicely.

With all the negative stuff about this team he is well deserving of this honor.

The next franchise center for years to come. And a nasty one!

I would consider Frazier a great pick up. A mush needed piece and he hasn't disappointed. And a rook to boot.

Frazer and McCormick are getting the reps and will be a solid part going forward.

Fantanu unfortunately missed a season and will have to play catch up but I have high hopes he will excel at the RT spot. The right side is set for the future.

Its the left side I have some concerns about. Seumalo is signed through 2025 and they need a solid back up plan, possibly another McCormick type in the later rounds. Can Broderick Jones move to the left side and excel? He has regressed on the right side. This to me is a concern. They need him to be a plug and play over there and play well next season. If not all was for naught. And a set back.

    Ba Bye Dan "Less" Moore.

Well done Zach I think everyone loved this pick.

It's time to get rid of Dan Moore and give Broderick Jones a proper shot at his true position, he's gone backwards this year. They have mishandled him IMO, and if they don't give 77 a chance to shine at LT they're going to have another monumental 1st round bust on their hands.

Tomlin seems to delight in doing anything but what's the logical course of action with draftees, you can't spend a 1st on a LT then send him out to RT because you love you some Dan Mediocre Moore.

    Mindblowingly stupid decision making.

Broderick would have been horrible at LT if he started there this year

Maybe in a year or two he will be ready

And it’s not because of coaching it’s because he played little in college

But you got the part about Zach correct

You don't know that, maybe in a year or two he'll be ready?

Horrible draft pick then. 3-4 seasons for 1st rounder to be competent? That's a terrible return.

His struggles are definitely partly due to being mishandled.

Transition of Lineman, regardless of being Offensive or Defensive, takes considerable time. For that matter, look no further than Keeanu Benton. Year One he was great but this season has had a Sophomore Slump of sorts. No where near as bad as Broderick's but disappointing nevertheless.

Speaking of Broderick, he only had 19 games of starting experience coming out of Georgia. Of those 19, all 15 of his starts were in his final year of college. That means Broderick only has had one full year of starting. If one goes back to even 2010 to when this has occurred, there is only one other instance of an Offensive Tackle being drafted in the First Round that has less than 28 full starts at Offensive Tackle. That distinction was Gregg Robinson out of Auburn. He started 26 games total at Auburn from 2011-2013. Look how Gregg's career turned out. Difference between Gregg vs. Broderick though is Broderick has been reputed to be a tireless worker in the locker room whereas Gregg's downfall was a lack of effort.

Long story short?! Give Broderick another year to fully get it. For comparison, Zach Frazier played 46 games at West Virginia; Mason McCormick a whopping 57! Troy Fautanu had 31 out of Washington. As Tomlin and Khan stated after Broderick was selected, dude is a "Diaper Dandy so it is going to take time for him to fully unlock all of his gifts. However, I do agree with you on one aspect.... perhaps Broderick needs a new teacher to do so *hint hint*.

First of all congrats to Zach on the award and a great season. I know he is good because I almost never hear his name during a game, and when I do its the announcers complimenting his play.

I would think that Jones has been mishandled but wonder of Troy's injury sidetracked what plans they had for Jones.
When he gets flagged it looks like it is more technical than it is a lack of strength or speed or even effort. He is reaching or has poor hand placement.
I think he will be fine with time and maybe better coaching.
