Strahan said it himself in pre-game.
Look at the his game log in 2001. He played 16. He's full of **** or was joking.
He wasn’t joking. He said for the record I did it in 13 games. Read my other post in this thread. I shared Strahan’s stats for all 16 games.
Strahan is part of the msm now. He lies for a living.
did he mention favre gifting him the last sack?
Then he's full of ****. Look at his game log for 2001. He played all 16. He had 3 games where he didn't get a sack, maybe that's what that idiot meant to justify his BS.
Besides, he really has 21.5 sacks. TJ Watt is the real sack leader because all his were earned.
So Strahan’s ego did the talking here to try and say he did it in even less than TJ’s 15 games. Let us use Strahan’s logic to analyze TJ’s stats. A 17 game season, Watt only played in 15 games. However, TJ was held without a sack in 4 of those games meaning TJ tied Strahan’s record in 11 games. Ego aside, TJ is the co-holder of the record.
Yes. Credited with at a minimum 1 assisted tackle in 16 different games in 2001. On top of that Favre gifted him the record. I'd need to see the interview but what a classless and childish statement if Strahan is claiming to hold the record.
I agree with you. I’m sure the next argument will be Strahan’s last sack was HOF Favre even if it was gifted. While TJ sacked second string QB Tyler Huntley. Again, I agree with you. Strahan’s record should have an asterisk.
Really wished he would have broken the record but oh well!! Congrats to T.J. Watt regardless!!!
Feel like the NFL is run by Bill Maher... if the QB fumbles the snap in the pocket he is a runner and the resulting tackle is not a sack; but if the QB is attempting to leave the pocket after the play breaks down then he is a QB and a hit to the head is a penalty.
Strahan is a class A *****. And it has nothing to do with the sack record. He just is. Kelly Ripa, who got along with 100s of people on her show, wanted to hang herself being around that slap.
Steelers should demand a review on that play. Huntley controlled the ball and then TJ sacked him. If Huntley had gathered that and threw it, it would have been a legal pass, so he was a QB there.
I never saw where Huntley ever got possession of the football.
Yup. That ridiculous scoring decision cost Watt the record.
Also, if Strahan was serious, he really is more of a jackass than I had thought.
I think it was and that is all that matters to me. JMO>
She's the one that has to go see a barber to get her teeth cleaned.
Ok, it does look like he picked it up and started to move forward. That would be a sack then.
The dumbest part is that they credited Watt with a TFL on the QB... or in other words "a sack."
Didnt Strahan have a 13 game 20 sack season that maybe he is misremembering as the record setting season?
No kidding… No one can tell me that wasn’t a sack. It needs to be changed and Watt should have the record.
So apparently if the snap is immediately fumbled by the offense no sack results on the play. It doesn't matter that Huntley had possession and was eligible to throw the ball.
I feel like that is enforced selectively and is intended for QBs who dive on the ball and stay there; not who pick the ball up and are in possession of it with the ability to throw.
The packers intentionally gave Strahan the record. He didn’t get another sack after they gave him the record. It was a sham and shouldn’t count.
has strahan ever came out of the closet ?
