I never said that. Besides we went 9-8 this season.

 

If the Steelers had athletes who were willing to lose on purpose, I'd want them off the team. You need heart and desire to win.

And as has been said time and time again, higher draft picks don't guarantee anything. So many high draft picks end up as busts, so why would anyone give up a chance to go further now for something that may or may not mean anything anyway.

No one said that 8-8 was a winning season. The record is 19 years of non-losing seasons......which using simple 1st grade math, it is.

 

Feelings do not factor into math.

 

I like how Tomlin can get his team playing well when their backs are against the wall. I just don't like how we always get there.

 

Winning in the NFL isn't easy, or a given, so it's definitely an impressive accomplishment.
