comp pick

i read we may only get a 7th round pick if that as a compensatory pick. we lost eason, spaeth and fox.

 

Yep, probably two 7th's at best. Oh well.

 

Now we lost gay, a starter from last season

 

So in 2013 we'll get another one, assuming he plays. We should hope he starts all 16 games. That would get us what, a 5th? We'll get a 3rd if he makes the Pro Bowl! raying:

 

Comp picks are based of the previous seasons losses and signings not this current season.

 

We got 3 7th round comp picks.

Am I right in thinking you cannot trade a comp pick?

You are correct. But we could now trade our 7th or 6th to move up in other rounds.

 

or keep them and try to fill some holes with the depth of some positions. guard , cb, wr, DL, olb.
