Colon a Jet?

    I know there is talk of his soon release, but I was unaware of any agreements he made.

    He is commenting on his teammate Mike Goodson on the NFL homepage.

    As far as his release goes, he is hurt too much for my liking. He is an ok to good right tackle and maybe right guard imo.

    He was released March 13th. He signed with the Jets a couple days later.

    How does that work when he technically isn't released until June 1st which is when his contract comes off the books? Or do I have my players mixed up :scratch:

    You're not mixed up. Even though he was designated as a June 1st release, he was immediately free to sign with another team. The designation is just for the prior team's salary cap...accelerating his signing bonus money to the following year, as opposed to being immediately responsible for it.
