He and Ben talked after the Denver game and Ben was saying I have to stop trying to make so many plays and KC told him not to stop.

I agree, he doesn't make those blunders as much as he used to. Hopefully we don't see another one like last week for a long while, that was bad all around, bad decision, bad pass (should have at least threw it to the inside) and bad results.

I'm concerned that Ben is a little too careless with the ball this year. That could hurt them in the playoffs. Hold onto the ball and maybe win in February.

Of course you don't want Ben to stop making plays.......for us. When he starts making them for the other team is when we have to worry. I understand what Colbert is trying to say,but there is a time and place as well. There's a little thing called situational football,we need to be on top of that at all times.

Recently Tomlin supposedly said that he doesn't care about turnovers. I don't recall where I heard this, but I think it was during a game telecast. I don't know if it's true, or if there's a particular context to the statement.

Colbert just needs to stay the crap out of the locker room and go back to watching tape of cornerbacks eligible for the 2016 draft! :smiley1:

Must be taken out of context. Everyone knows your chances of winning go down with each turnover.

Not many teams win games when they lose the turnover battle.

Actually, Tomlin did say that he doesn't care about turnovers. It was the dumbest thing I've ever heard out of a coaches mouth.

Source please. I guarantee this has been taken way way way out of context.

He said he didn't care about turnovers per se, but rather when they happened. (And possibly why -- I can't recall.)

After Ben threw that int in the 4th qtr, he had that concerned look on the sideline of he just blew the game.

Yeah, that jogs a memory. To my recollection it was during the telecast of one of the games after the Seattle loss. I think during either the Indy or Cinci game, the color man for the network said that he talked to Tomlin and that Tomlin had said something about not caring about some turnovers depending on when they happen or where they are on the field. My guess is that the context is that he'd rather risk a few turnovers here and there instead of playing in a turtle shell. If that's the case, it's hard to argue. However the int at the end of the Denver game was just dumb by Ben. Just like one near the end of the 1st Cinci game that just killed us.

This is the 5th highest Int % Ben has had. He has thrown some Ints that resulted in bad field position but most of them have been deep downfield or defelctions. Ben still won't throw a ball away on 2nd down but he is pretty good now at not hurting the team with picks.

If your game plan is to throw 50 times INTs are a fact of life really.

I agree with you that INTs could be a problem but I feel that is much "pass happy" philosophy as Ben.

I searched the world over and thought I found true love......

Never mind, different thought. The only comment I found on this regard was he didn't care if we had 3 interceptions as long as we won.

Otherwise, every comment has been that turnovers hurt us.

Agree. I view his comments more as a hindsight observation. And I would concur - couldn't care less if we commit 20 turnovers a game as long as we win. But as has been said, obviously the odds decrease the more you do it.

Ben sometimes get caught up in the moment. He's a gunslinger. When Ben roll the dice...most of the time he is spot on, but when he crap out... its normally during crucial times. If Ben would just play his game ..in distributing the ball to whomever is open..this is when he has monster games. But, its when he makes up his mind ...that he's going to one player regardless...this is when he normally make I'll advised throws that lead to turnovers or turnover on downs
