I'd understand if they missed with Haden and there was other areas of need. Haden even if not as good as he was with the Browns has stepped in and been the best corner we have seen in a decade. Peterson is better and one year younger and trading to have him for 3 years. Have him and Haden for this year and next. How many years Ben got left? Haden was a 2x pro bowler. Peterson is 7x pro bowler and 3x all pro. He was rated 3rd best corner for the week two weeks ago. You won't give up a 1st or some 2's and 3's for him!!? Window is closing. O-line and Ben aren't going to be around much longer. We got the cap space for what we had saved for Bell. It makes too much sense. Make the call Colbert!!

It is probably fantasy and won’t happen but it is a no brainer to this arm chair quarterback!We’ve been absolutely horrible with our first round defensive picks in the last 5 years.Peterson is an all pro and proven commodity since he was drafted.If the Steelers are serious about a Super Bowl run they give the Cardinals a first round pick in a heartbeat!!!!

2’s and 3’s?! Plural? Everything I’ve read said one compensatory draft pick, and probably a third-rounder at that. Plus, in your scenario, Peterson’s salary would negatively affect the calculus.

 

If they place the non exclusive tag on him this off-season. That allows him to talk to other teams and they could sign him but have to give the Steelers two first. If nobody bites then the Steelers can work on a trade and be like we will give him to you for just one 1st instead of two or whatever they want. Letting him walk for comp picks is stupid.
