I guess I am in the minority but I really really like him. I think he is one of the best in the business. I think we are very lucky to have him

Man, I would love to have some eavesdropping devices in that preliminary meeting with the scouts, would love to know who they are targeting :hmmm:

    I'm confused.
Did I just read something Tomlin said
    the Rooneys said
    The Gm said....

    blasé blasé

guess all I can take out of this is
the standard is the standard or business as usual

anyone here know anyone who simply refill these guys water glasses while they are meeting? Wonder if I could remember how to wait on table or be a hostess to one of their shindigs.

sometimes it seems time goes by so slow

I can't help but read all of his comments and hear an angry dad telling his kids to stop pestering him.

I did, however, like this quote:

Football GM's are like weather men. Educated, knowledgeable and useless.

He uses a lot of words to say "I know but if I told you I'd have to kill you"

I'm not buying his answer about Worilds and Woodley, I think there's no chance they keep both.

There's a chance, but there's a lot of variables of course.

I don't think he implied that was what they were going to do, he only said that IF they wanted to they could make it work financially. I think the reality is he showed his hand. Woodley's injury concerns scare him and I think we will be looking for some quality backups behind Jones and Worilds.

I think this next year [or 2] is important to find out if Colbert is a really great GM or just a very good one. Certainly his record and the accomplishments of the team has been excellent since he got here but I really am not sure if drafting defense is one of his strong suits.

Well the defense needa some work now so I suppose we will find out.

Actually, not that many d players have been drafted since 2008. But of those few to me only Heyward and C. Allen are first rate. Some others have been decent like Hood, and K. Lewis his last few months here and maybe Shark Thomas will emerge from last year but that's just about it. J. Jones and V Williams got playing time last year but neither was particularly outstanding. Then there are a couple on IR who could be helpful. Spence and N. Williams but that is really almost all of it.

But now there should be more focus on the D so I am optimistic.

At least he knows the secondary is lacking in depth I hope he addresses it in the draft we need two CB's and a Safety.
