WOW! You not only used 'yinz' but said 'yinz youngins', most impressive and again authenticates your post as 100% legit. :)

I am 61 (boomer to yinz youngins), I usually check my FB feed 1x a day before work. The comments on this particular rumor were even more outrageously funny than those posed here. Just posted this as an outlier, I think the fans who post here are pretty knowledgeable, and though the obvious differences of opinions will create great diversity in discussion, it still is a fun place to hang out. I am glad that most of the insanity is found in other forums, or platforms...love all Steeler fans, but we do have a few nutcases in the fam, just saying.

Dude Poe sucks, he was 30 pounds overweight, and did nothing with the Cowboys.

I don't know. Looking back I think I was only 99% legit. Using my Pittsburghese I should have spelled it Yinz Younginz to make it 100% legit. I'm slipping after being away for 32 years.

There was some fans who thought a losing season would get Tomlin fired, that was the impression I got.

Oh, I'm with you there. That was certainly a recurring sentiment around here. But still, that doesn't mean any of them WANTED us to lose for it to happen. Did they want him fired? Heck yeah. But did they want us to lose to get it done? Absolutely not.

Think about this. Fans want the Steelers to win, so they are upset with the coach. So they want the Steelers to lose so we get another coach so we can win? How about the fans want us to win and want things to change so that can happen more when it counts?

Tomlin has gotten this team in positions to win a lot of regular season games. He absolutely deserves credit for an impressive regular season record during his tenure. But some of us want/expect/demand more. We're not the Jets. Winning records aren't the goal. Winning it all is. And that means doing something Tomlin hasn't been able to do well enough, winning in the postseason.

Tomlin wasn't going anywhere. He'd been extended for 2 more years the season before. Plus he lost his HOF QB and elite WR, one year after losing his elite RB. He could have went 2-14 last season, he was safe.

One just need to look at what a turd the Cowboys have become to see how well Tomlin coached last year.

True. I thought Tomlin did a good job last year, all things considered. Between last season and so far this season, he might have finally learned from his mistakes. (allowing that wildcat offense will always baffle me).
McCarthy was a predictable mistake for Dallas.

True, but that's not what's being volleyed back and forth here. It's not about what was going to happen. It's about fans who wanted him gone. Many did, regardless of contract, past records, the Rooney Rule (I know, I know, it has nothing to do with him potentially getting fired), or anything else. Fans were unhappy and they got out their pitchforks.

He didn't just suck, he put forth absolutely zero effort. He was simply not interested in playing. That rarely fixes itself with a move to a new team. Lazy players tend to remain lazy.

Issac Newton’s or Cam Newton’s. I’m leaning towards the latter.

McCarthy has always been overrated despite the SB win they eeked out against us.
