Did you watch the game we killed the Ravens?

23 points a game is 23 points a game, we have an offense that is capable of putting up 30 points a game, do the math.

We are certainly explosive. I'm looking for us to be consistent. How many games last year did the offense just seem to sputter and then all of a sudden just explode? We've GOT to start closing the deal in the red zone. We had that explosion against Houston. We exploded against Cincy in the 4th quarter of that game. We wound up imposing our will on the Titans after falling behind to them. It's absolutely maddening to know what we are capable of and then seeing us just not be consistent. I'm hoping that an offseason of work with Ben and Bryant is gonna really help out. I think consistency from the offense will really help out if the defense is gonna go through some growing pains with a lot of the new blood on the field and the old guard moving on.

It should get there, another year of playing together, no turnover on the offense except for losing Moore, which affects nothing.

The redzone is the biggest issue that I can see, improve on that and this offense will be pretty unstoppable.

I mentioned this a couple months back, about losing just about everybody in the defensive backfield just as you correctly pointed out Mac.
This is why a mininum of 3 DB's that can play in a (short period of time) should be selected in the up coming draft or thru trades? We all talk about how great are offense is, well you better be able to stop some teams also. We better hope for a very successful defensive draft. And that C. Allen pans out???????????We could be in deep trouble.

Labriola actually done a little write up about our red zone woes the other day. It has been this way the whole time that Tomlin has been here and the best we've ever been in red zone efficiency under him was 7th. Most of the time we've been in the bottom half of the league. He blamed it on the lack of a good red zone running game.

Don't agree with him, we had Bell last year, so whats the excuse for not having a good running game? Poor play calling and execution are more likely to blame. As good as season as Bell had, I don't think he scored many TD's IIRC, thats inexcusable.

Is that really a fair assessment. By signing him, they prevented him from FA. Would they get credit if they let him become a FA and then either lost him or overpaid for him? Just a thought.

He was talking about overall and not just last year. We didn't do good in the red zone last year either. I think the best we have done under Tomlin was 7th and that was in his first year. We've not done good under Haley in the red zone either.

Thats my point, they had Bell and it still wasn't any good, stands to reason the lack of efficiency in the redzone is a result of something else.

Do you have that Steelers app on your phone? That's where I read the article. I read it like maybe a week ago. I like listening to Labriola because he doesn't seem afraid to be critical but you can still tell that he wants what's best for the team.
