    If this is Colberts last year, he’s going out with a bang.

    Nice work :applaud:

    Colbert has expanded his portfolio and has been a gun slinger. And it has worked so far. I like it.

    Trai Turner looks brutal. The other two could be decent adds for sure.

    No matter how this season turns out we cannot say he didn`t try to set us up for one last run before Ben retires.

    He definitely tried. I sure hope he got the majority of these trades right. But for the moment, we have a sluggish, underperforming OG, a coming-off-injury OLB, and a potentially solid question mark ILB to show for 11mil and a 6th.

    I've said it a few times that they could all end up being valuable pieces of this puzzle. I still believe that. But none have proven much of anything yet, other than Tomlin calling Ingram a run-game bully.

    He is trying to field a competitive team, hopefully if things go right(Homer in me) we can get to play offs and see what happens from there?

    Who is to say this is it for Colbert?! Jumping the proverbial gun a bit here. Colbert has already been on record in stating he will be taking it year by year.

    Realistically speaking, when Colbert leaves might depend on how much longer Big Ben will play (more on this was reported via Aditi through an article here). It would not surprise me if this were the case. However, Big Ben still believes he can play well into his early 40s.... something I personally am skeptical of given the immense physical toll he has taken since his Rookie Season.

    The quickest way I can see Colbert retiring though is through two methods; both of which do involve Big Ben as stated previously;

    1.) The Steelers do not make the playoffs and Big Ben retires soon thereafter. Kevin Colbert finishes his contract which voids during the 2022 NFL Draft and retires soon thereafter.

    2.) The Steelers do make the playoffs but fall out. Big Ben retires; Colbert likely to follow suit but still completing his GM responsibilities as mentioned in point 1.

    Yep, I agree. I just hope Ben understands it and gives it his all.

    Who knows, maybe Ben will even learn the playbook?

    Ok, stop laughing, I was trying to be serious.

    D. Johnson, and Haskins so far are the only ones I've seen make mental Mistakes... as in not appearing 2 know the play on the offense. Well ....So far. LoL
