We only have the game tape and camp reports.

On paper, this might be seen as an odd move. But so was bringing in Hunter AND drafting Schuster.

I'm guessing the coaches weren't seeing what they liked. If his hands are still mangled, and his route running hadn't improved... I guess it's good we got something for him.

So I said before that Brown, Bryant and Juju were locks, dhb was the sixth due to special teams and Hunter makes it because of free agent signing. Now Hamilton was released and Coated traded. That leaves Rogers as the last of the sixth since Ayers didn't make it as a special teams guy.

I'm happy we're finally making some moves in the offseason....we very rarely make meaningful moves outside of the draft....not that every move is big but they all count to some degree.

Glad we got SOMETHING for Coates. Shame to see him go. I really liked him coming out of college :clowns:

This is a statement about the depth of this team at this position

If it wasnt for MB getting suspended for a year ...dhb wouldnt be on the team. Remember, they cut him after the '16 season. No hate...just business. He can easily be cut for younger. We dont need cheerleaders or advisors. We need players. All the ttrouble that went on last season, he wasn't able to stop or even prevent

He is not just a cheer leader. He knows all the WR spots . He is a Captain of ST'S . And he is still the fastest man on the Team .

As far as that trouble goes how much worse will it get if you get rid of your Team 1st. players ?All Teams need a guy like this and this Team needs it even more than most.

Thinking the same. He had knee surgery too, right? No separation and drops, not a good combination.

Hope JuJu is the player I think he can be or this WR group isn't as deep as people think.

I'm guessing Hunter will make it now, maybe he'll find his game.

Ouch. It has to be the biggest insult as a pro to get traded within the division.

Nope they wouldn't even let DHB race. They all conceded they could not beat him.

There will be more opportunities for him there. He's still getting paid to play a game. And if he does well enough, he'll land with another team in two years.

    no
comp picks are for free agents signed before June 1st
not sure why the browns are giving us a draft pick for somebody we would have cut when they get first shot on the waiver list

Can't say I love trading him in the division, especially to the opponent they are facing Week 1. I understand they didn't like what they saw this preseason and he was the one who had trade value, but he is also one who could burn the Steelers with a big play in the opener and make them regret this down the line.

I was really hoping Ayers was gonna make it ...he is versatile slot and outside...plays STs and he has a skill set similar to AB( I know not ABs level) but at least similar with his RAC....bette hope Rogers stays healthy. We have plenty of guys who can run GOs not one of them with above average hands at best...could of used a physical receiver (Coates) and a guy to do the dirty work(Ayers). JuJu is a walking injury report so far so we might not be as deep as it seems like Blast said...not hoping for a 3rd and 1 bomb squad again....

It's the Steelers' 2019 7th-round pick. That's the draft after our first Ben-less year, right?

    They're the Browns

If they picked up someone else, would that keep them from picking up anyone else?

This closes the chapter on yet another wasted early-round pick.

    3rd Coates
    3rd Wheaton
    2nd Golson
    3rd Archer

Colbert is one of the best, but they can't keep missing on early picks.
