Coaching staff doesn't think our Center can block for 1 yard on a sneak?

Is Pounce, an all pro center, really that deficient?

    What gives?

Where did that come from? Although I think that is one of the reason. Pouncey may not be strong enough to push ahead even as a pro bowler

I find it hard to believe Ben doesn't have the authority to say eff it, I'm sneaking behind Pouncey and Decastro... two of the best friggn linemen in the NFL.. makes no Effin sense!

Why sweep wide vs a fast D, just dumb. Haley is horrible.

Yeah I don’t think they were confident in getting that push on their DTs. Pouncey and DeCastro Foster is not known for moving anyone off the ball. Occasionally, but not the Jags DTs.

I'm coming to believe Ben doesn't want to run the QB sneak.

It looked to me like Ben called an audible on a couple of those 4th down plays

That's not what he said in his post game presser and said they haven't run it in years.

Tom 'Tutu' Brady sneaks it ALL THE TIME. I don't understand the reasoning behind the logic that an All-Pro center can't get a huge QB like Ben stretching for the 1st down.

Both of those 4th and shorts were wide open for a bootleg to the left. There was absolutely nobody covering that side of the field.

When Haley came here, his job was to put together an offense to extend Ben's career. The narrative was that Bruce Arians was going to get Ben killed. Member? The sneak was taken out when Haley came in as a way to protect Ben.

Haley believed Jacksonville's defense would over pursue.

Now, why he would think that I will never know. I will also be quite apathetic to that end as well due to the fact that he is as good as gone after the conclusion of the 2017 NFL Season if not sooner.

While we are on philosophical change, perhaps Mike Tomlin and Keith Butler can fully entrust their resources to create a 4-3 defense with 3-4 looks as opposed to the opposite?

Don't you have to keep the other teams honest?

If you haven't run a QB sneak in YEEEEAAARRS other teams are not going to be worried about it.

You mean run the oldest play in the book for that particular situation? Nah they ain't creative enough... I mean that's some serious outside of the box thinking. Put your nose in the corner for dragging that nonsense into this board room hahahahahaha

Haley was saving that play call for 4th and 4. Catch them off-guard.
