CLEARLY......The ball never hit the ground. This should end all discussions.

 

A much clearer view on the block on Phil Villapiano. Saw an interview and a lot of comments on the 'clip', it looked like a close call, ref right there, but seeing how fast this play actually develops is amazing. Those few seconds took a perrenial loser into a national brand.

Thank you for finding and posting that. I'd never seen it before. But this raises one more unrelated question for me.

This was 1972. No way anyone can tell me that the NFL doesn't have clear video like this, even if it is black and white, from playoff games in later seasons. No way!

So why have so many of us had to pay for that crappy video collection of the Steelers' four Super Bowl games from the 70s? Why can't they sell us something like this, where we can see the games clearly? I'll pay for the black and white without the televised game announcers. GLADLY!

Just ridiculously embarrassing by the league what they've done with that horrendous ripoff collection they've been selling.
