Wasn't really talking about You. We can,and are all grumps at times. Including Myself.
I was really meaning the rest of Fandom of football. Why is one forgiven, not talked about, and even forgotten, but others still linger???

I don’t know but you don’t see Ben in commercials or guest host on National tv?

You know I could have said the same thing about Brady 2 years ago.

I don't know what changed with Brady other than location that now he is all over national commercials.

Ben shouldn't coach Rudolph or any other QB. It's the same as Favre to Rodgers (Rodgers turned out pretty well too without much help from Favre).

If a QB is fundamentally sound like Peyton Manning or Tom Brady it's good to coach up younger players but what Favre and Ben did can't be taught. A lot of it was improvised or overconfidence haha.

Yeah, I don't know what Ben is doing this week with all the friendly Mason B.S. he is slinging. He has never liked or had anything to do with Mason, so why is he trying to start now?

Ben's personality isn't cut out for coaching, announcing, or much else beyond being a HoF QB for that matter

No shame in that. That's pretty damn great.

Let's be honest though, for his post playing career, he's best suited for playing golf with buddies. Nothing wrong with that, either.

The bar for announcers is pretty damn low. I think Ben would be fine.

That takes up a lot of time and travel. Not the job for a guy with three little ones and a wife with a career.

Yeah 0 chance he scouts. How about he makes a Gunslingers broadcast with Brett Favre and Al Michaels? Brett and Ben breaking balls.

Ben has cashed $250mill in paychecks. He can travel with family at his whim, take Grandma or Aunt May to watch the kids. People act like he’s Joe Lunchpail. He scrapes Joe Lunchpail off his shoes,

Yeah Ben really matured as he got older. Anything you do in a smaller city with a massive sports market gets magnified anyways- ask Favre... he sent just one dick pic and everyone lost their mind.

I just can't imagine how I would feel if my Boss came to me and introduced someone who I was supposed to train to take over for me and they would be paying him 1/10th of what I was making.

In my business before the new guy starts the old guy is always shown the door.

Does this explain Ben's attitude toward Mason?

Add all the greats. Terry Bradshaw, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Kenny Stabler, Roger Staubach, John Elway, Peyton Manning and a handful of others to that list. When you are that great you couldn't care less about the next person to take your job, even if it's just inside their own heads.

No. Ben just doesn't trust Masons talent. He trusted Charlie Batch and he trusted Josh Dobbs. He just doesn't trust MR to be his successor and I don't blame him.
