Albert Haynesworth as a Commander, Deion Sanders as a Commander, Nnamdi Asomugha as an Eagle and even Jon Gruden as the Raiders Head Coach all say "hold my beer".

Mmm, Old thread. This season is last chance with us for Claypool to grow up, take is career seriously and produce IMO.

Some talking heads saying he will have a big year with Juju gone. I have doubts. Hope he comes through for us.

    Good question.

No idea in all honesty. Then again, given how much Dan Snyder was/likely is hands on since becoming owner, not too surprising to say the least.

DJ, Pickens, Austin, Cosmo ...will be the WR pecking order imo...I just don't think Cosmo is very good, and he's also an idiot...

That why I want the Steelers to sign DJ ( if reasonable) And let Cosmo walk when his contract is up...

First name to come to mind is JaMarcus Russell - $39 million guaranteed, 3 seasons

Forgot about Haynesworth, $38 million for two seasons

Decent chance the Browns will eclipse all of the worst contracts combined with $230 million guaranteed.

You really think Austin will be ahead of Claypool?

There is zero chance of that happening outside of an injury.

    Yep.

I still believe in Austin but I expect Claypool to hold him off. Unless he gets injured, Calvin Austin III is likely the fourth option heading into the preseason and nevermind the season.

Austin is like 5 6 130 lbs he’s not beating anyone out. That being said Claypool appears to have some serious issues upstairs. This is pretty much make or break for him and I’m not feeling confident.

It sounds like they are moving Claypool inside to play the slot this year, which is where he should have been all along. In college he was strictly an outside guy, so he does have a learning curve to go through to be able to move to the inside where he will be able to dominate.

Last year in the 2021 draft when everybody was going crazy about Kyle Pitts I didn't see much difference between Chase Claypool's 2020 Combine numbers and Kyle Pitts's 2021. If Canada can move him to the middle of the field his size and speed make Claypool a matchup nightmare for DBs and LBs.

In the middle of the field Claypool is gong to have to learn to stay on his feet and quit falling down. Wathing this video he seems to be on the ground at the end of every catch. Claypool needs to learn how to get YAC stats.

I dont have a pronlem. With a player saying he is one of the best... I guess I missed the part where he said he has nothing to prove

I have a problem with a guy saying he is one of the best when he’s not even close though.

It's a dumb statement by Claypool, especially after the season he had last year, I'm not sure he's a top 30 WR .

Samuel is good but really it is their system. He has benefited from one of the best offense minded head coaches who has a great system in place. I am hoping with the talent we now have on offense that Canada can utilize them all with different runs and jet sweeps and motions, etc. Multiple guys doing this is a lot better than one Deebo Samuel. Samuel won’t have the same success this year after teams have had an off season to figure him and them out. It is a lot easier to key on one guy verse multiple guys.

I honestly feel like were going to have like three receivers in the 700 yard range. The guy that may be the biggest benefactor this year is Frierrmuth.
