I didn’t realize this was even a possibility, luckily it’s not season ending.

Washington #2 WR. Time to earn that next contract.

And you let Thorny beat you to the waiver claim? Shameful.

Doesn't sound good. Toe injuries can be career ending or just endlessly nagging pains. Hopefully nothing major.

I bet they call up Anthony Miller, if Claypool has to miss time.

I had Washington since the draft I think to go with Claypool. This was another crap week for most of my guys not named Conner. Burrows picked the wrong time to suck, Hill did hardly anything and I couldn't decide who to bench to get Muth out there. I feel this will be the week I bounce back.

He needs to borrow Wards hyperbolic chamber and get the number for Deebo's acupuncturist

I must've been looking at the wrong player. Earlier I was looking up something else and thought I saw Washington available. Saw Blast post the injury update and went back, thought you'd scooped him up.

Last week was brutal for my gang. Had some words with them postgame, let everyone know we don't run from our fears, we embrace them. Obviously. We're unleashing hell this week.

Didn't Jack Lambert retire because of a toe injury? Turf toe?

A toe injury did ruin his final season in 1984. That was a 32-year-old at the end of his career, not a 23-year-old in his second season. Also, medical science has advanced a bit over the last 37 years.

I think that would have been an embarrassing injury in Jack's mind. I can see it now:

Talking head: Jack, you are a scary fearless amazing LB, yet you're leaving the game, why?

Jack: I hurt my little toe.

That is part of what you thought he said. I was able to listen in some more and I think I heard him add some additional insight:
"I hurt my little toe kicking that running backs teeth in who tried to run up the middle on me and it went so far in, it was sticking out of his ear but then his head slammed the turf injuring my toe".

This blows. I love Chase but Im not going to lie - I find him to be a little fragile. Regardless, this is really bad news.

Yup, I distinctly remember watching the 1984 opener vs. KC when Jack hopped off the field on one foot. That was Louis Lipps' fantastic debut, too.

If Claypool is out for a few weeks and Ebron is back I expect them to implement him into the receiving core and give him some targets. A receiving core of Johnson, Washington,Miller, Friermuth, and Ebron I think can be effective in Claypool’s absence.

Curses foiled again by my dependence on auto suggest. Hyperbaric perhaps is better.

Thankfully Claypool's game is based on size and speed not agility and quickness like DJ so the toe shouldn't sideline him too much.

The funny part is that as I was typing that my 8 yr old goes "Dad can I have 80 dollars?" So I'm typing and go "yes no what? Why?" "I need to start saving for a new phone." You're not allowed to have a phone until you are 15!" And then I hit post. Never type and discuss logic with an 8 yr old.

Some of her classmates have Trac phones and she has her older sister's old iPhone 5 with no Simcard because basically it has all the functionality of an ipod just can't make calls. Borderline obsessed with getting a phone.
