The team clearly believes Okorafor can do what Hawkins has not been able to do; swing tackle.

His age, athleticism and versatility are all positives for me. While I am still a bit suprised, I do believe that he will likely see action sooner than later as Marcus Gilbert is known to miss games; injuries being the common denominator.

Much like corners and pass rushers, a team can never have enough protection; their heir apparent to their Franchise Quarterback no less.

Yep. This draft looks like a "spare parts" draft instead of replacement parts draft.

They say this guy has talent and athletic ability to spare, he just doesnt use it all the time, I think munch can light a fire under ass and bring out the talent this big guy has inside......

What I find somewhat curious is how quickly people on the board are willing to abandon the OLine. They are two years away from having to reload it and guys are griping about Munch starting early on that.

Why doesn’t this guy get a Welcome to the Steelers thread? Hmmm, I see some form of conspiracy here.

I'm traveling for business today, and I didn't get around to it last night before I hit the rack. I also figured @cajunyankee would have gotten to it before me. :D

I agree. It's like some have a really short memory. It wasn't so long ago that this line was downright dreadful. Sure, alot if this has to do with Munch, but you also need to have the right players.

I’m not asking for much, above average to pro bowl starters at every position, good backups at every position, and still room under the cap.

My high school coach knew that much. Although, it was the swim team.

I would much rather draft/hire a person who does not need the butt set on fire to get production. Never made any sense. Let someone else deal with the lazy sots. It is a bit funny (ironic?) that the post below the post to which I am responding has Greg Lloyd as the avatar. He is the type to draft/hire. Not some slugabed! At SVC he and Big Dan can find a grove trees to snooze under while the real players work at greatness.

Dr. Fredrick Herzberg, acclaimed motivational behaviorist, believes a person's value system is established during ages of 12 and 15. This value system can only be change by a significant emotional event. People generally don't change there basic personality or value system easily. So I hope this is a learning/motivation issue otherwise change probably will not happen. My personal management philosophy was hire brains and high initiative. I can teach everything else. There is no hope of getting a sluggard up off his/her ass, let alone make them productive.
