    What does exclusive mean?

If you have NFL Sunday ticket do you get this game?

I have no idea, but it does day Sunday ticket, so Wed/ Christmas may not count, lol. 150 million for 2 games (Netflix), 'we are working continuously on issues of player safety', 'that is unless we can squeeze more games into a tight window and get more money'.

No. Only exception will be local broadcast.

Some think it might end up at over 100 million per game. I didn't know Netflix could afford that.

    Where are you reading this?

Netflix's own press realease says their games will only be available on Netflix.
We’re so excited that the NFL’s Christmas Day games will be only on Netflix.”

NFL Games Are Coming to Netflix Christmas 2024 - Netflix Tudum

I am assuming the NFL does not have to legally allow local stations access. They always have in the past, but what would prevent Netflix from not allowing local stations to broadcast the game for free? Why wouldn't Netflix want to make people in Denver and Pittsburgh subscribe to their Streaming service to watch the game?

EDIT: lol it is at the end of the article you linked

Netflix has no incentive too overly publicize the local broadcasts but it is right on their site

and in keeping with the NFL’s long-standing holiday tradition, the Netflix Christmas Day games will air on broadcast TV in the competing team cities, and be available on US mobile devices with NFL+.

Funny, I didn't scroll down far enough.

I still don't understand why? $150 million for 2 games seems steep if you are not going to even get "Exclusive" rights to the game everywhere and on every device.

I believe it is the NFL attempting to maintain the antitrust (Sherman) exemption and the precedent they set with Sunday Ticket which allowed the local broadcasts to continue. I know you saw the thread on the lawsuit involving Sunday Ticket, which the trial starts for this week. Depending on the results of that it could change things. May take many more years to resolve though.

In 1994, the NFL contracted an exclusive broadcasting agreement for Sunday games with DirecTV, a satellite service provider. Before this agreement with DirecTV, fans only had access, on linear television, to two to three Sunday games played by local teams during football season
