I still think Colbert would've picked a CB or Safety in round 2 but there was a run on those positions before the Steelers pick came up, instead he chose BPA.

As a PSU alumni (among other places), I’ll chirp in. When “The” went up by 1 I thought WTF. The next morning I thought, “The” is a lot better than “We”.

Yup. And only 2 are hurt, the other three are seriously underperforming.

I too was not a fan of the pick, thinking we had some guys like Ayers and Rogers to step in and this draft loaded at WR I wanted a S and Jones going right in front of us stunk. With that said glad we have him that is some find right there. As each game goes by it looks like a better and better pick, nice job Colbert.

Good thing Madden has him with good hands or he might have showed up to camp as the reincarnation of Limas Sweed.

Add me to the list of people who did not like the pick on draft day. They were waiting too long to address the secondary. Clearly, they made the right call and Smith-Schuster looks like he is going to be a key contributor for a long time.

Of course, we were also right in thinking the Steelers didn't do enough in the offseason to correct their problems in the secondary and waiting so long in the draft was part of that. The Steelers just got lucky when the Browns bailed them out by cutting Haden.

And isn't it nice that the Steelers finally have a player younger than the Head Coach. ;)
