Yep! This is hilarious! I love when all these Johnny Come Lately's come in and think they're gonna reinvent the wheel and then find out they're not nearly as smart as they think they are.

NO ONE is that stupid. We may disagree on a lot of things, but I have faith in my fellow thesteelersfans board members. None of them are that out of touch.

 

I hope you're right. Sometimes when I look at other teams it makes me all the more thankful that we have the Rooney's.

10-6 two years in a row, followed by one bad season (7-9 or 6-10) and he's gone. I guess the Eagles' ownership aren't happy he hasn't won a playoff game and appeared to be unprepared.

 

It's deeper than that. He brought in what was supposed to be a revolutionary (college style) offense and gutted a talented roster to fit his hair brained scheme with his players, and the bottom has fallen out. His system has failed and has gotten worse each year as he jettisoned quality guys. Now the Iggles are left to pick up the pieces and try to rebuild. He set them back several years.

Kelly is an insufferable idiot. I suspect he's very interested in some of the open college jobs. Still, nice to see a franchise know when they have the wrong guy. Shame we never figure that out.

He'll be back in college. His stuff works there because if you recruit well at a top school you can basically rely on better athletes throughout the roster and they have to listen to you or be ousted with a bad rap....

As stripped as that roster is I'd say a better question would be who would WANT that job! I'd say the players are gonna be trying to jump ship as well.

 

Umm like Belichick pointed out Desean Jackson and McCoy have done sweet **** all this year.

Maclin is doing well but had a price tag of 12M. That's a Mike Wallace situation to me.

Nick Foles has been garbage.

Honestly Kelly probably would have done decently if given more time. First year with basically a whole new team.

I don't really care but I think its pretty silly to say Kelly let a lot of talent go when only one... one... one player is performing.

 

I understand this decision however I feel the Eagles should have kept him for a few reasons. Maybe they could have traded him to a team in need of a coach....Tenn???? If not that just the fact that they still have to pay him is reason enough, if I were the owner I would have took away the GM job from him and made him quit! Another reason I think they should have kept him was the fact that it isn't fair to give this team that he(Kelly) tore apart to another guy to fix. I would make Kelly coach this team and let him prove that he is a coach, and if he don't his value will go down for other team jobs.

I personally think Chip can coach he just can't GM/coach! Let's face it he has had this team competitive the 1st 2 years. This year was a joke but that is the part where the GM deal got him in trouble, IMO.
