Man, the refs in this last two minutes are the absolute worst!

 

That was terrible for the NFL.

 

At least Chris and Tony talked about it after the game. Maybe with enough talking heads bringing it up, something will be done. Both teams got screwed with these refs!

 

Does anyone know when officials make bad calls/no calls are they reprimanded.

 

I believe they are scored against, and the worst scoring groups don't get playoffs, or SBs....which is less checks/money for them. Now don't quote me on this, but I believe I read this somewhere.

 

I think that's pretty close, but this year things are so bad they are scouting college bowl games to find play off crews, lol.

What is Pat talking about? "I've played 7 years and have never seen offsides called on the offense... that is elementary school..."

Man, I have seen the Steelers have multiple offensive offsides and illegal formations called sometimes in the same game this year.

 

But, The play was 100% offsides on Toney. He is 10 feet from the ball, look how far ahead of his lineman he is standing, how can he not be offsides? Like Mahomes said . Like Paterick said... Elementary School players know this.

 

I don't know how this happens!

A veteran receiver looking at the ball! you look and you adjust your feet accordingly! how hard is it?

 

Well we all know if it was here it would all be called....stupid coaching, and thanks Tomlin would be shouted from the rooftops., but since it's the Genius A. Reid....it's on the players. LoL. Dang does the Genius, and the best Qb in the league only have one more win than us????

 

i have read some of the comments on chiefs fan pages, and have just shook my head at the utter stupidness of it...he is LITERALLY almost lining up on the defensive side of the ball, for christ sakes. that is pop football ****. and on the next play, all the chiefs fans are nashing their teeth, screaming that von miller was off sides. the only photo i have seen of the play is from behind the defense, and what appears to be after the ball has been snapped...gosh its fun watching them melt down

 

On Dan Patrick today a former head official said in the precious 8 years it was called something like 14 times total, it has been called that much alone this year. He was off side and it could of and likely should have been called. That said, Dan Orlasky sp) reviewed the entire game and said that same WR was off side at least 7x in the game and it was never called. No it's not the officials job to warn or correct teams, but why was it called then and not before?? That is one great gripe I have with officiating, they are not perfect, but the inconsistency in calling is ruining the game. If you could call a penalty on every play but do not, then you don't pick the time to call it late in the game. It's not just this call, the result of the play not with standing, the flag was thrown before the ball was even thrown, but if you are going to call it, then you call it the first time, or as Reid said give both teams waring that this will be called...then do it.
