I don' get why Ben won' take the Brady route if he cares about winning.

Why would Ben take less money? Look at Cousins for example do you think he's worth more than Ben?

    Man that's absolutely laughable!

Unbelievable that he's the first to get a fully guaranteed contract!

I’m sure Brady owns like 10% of the Patriots. No way he plays that cheap without a large handy on the side.

Brady is worth like $35-45 million a year compared to what these guys make now. He’s getting his somehow

Is tom Brady looking at everyone else saying hey look at me I should be getting more?

Brady cares more about football than anything else. That's why he takes led money he's literally obsessed with the game and does whatever to help the team win. I'm sure if it were no such thing as a salary cap he wouldn't make that less.

Another reason I hate the Cheats...You can bet your sweet ass, Kraft is giving Marsha a suitcase with 10, 20, 30 million dollars cash every year! Don't make Marsha out to be some Saint. EVERYTHING they have ever done has an asterisk, or is tainted...imo!

Exactly SteelerGlenn!Brady is the exception and kudos to him.As far as franchise qb’s go Ben is not overpaid compared to some other qb’s in the league on a value basis!Bell on the other hand (who is the best overall back in the league)is still asking for too much for his position!Twice the amount than over 99 percent of the other backs in league is not enough? It’s all about value at the position.Tuitt is pretty good when healthy but we overpaid him.We are in cap hell and can’t really afford to pay Chickillo more!

Just cause Brady's doing it doesn't mean squat. That's his choice.
Ben is already making less than some of these guys who aren't on his level. Why don't Bell take less so we can sign some players?

Because bell is 26.. Ben is in his late 30s. He's made his money. Leveon has not and his career won't last no where near the length of Ben's. And do all those guys making all that money, do they really care about winning? With the exception of guys like Jimmy G who just got their first pay dat.. even Michael jordan in his prime wasn't making nearly what he was worth.

I don't believe that for a second. As others have mentioned, he's getting his on the side. No doubt.

So you believe a guy that does more off the field work regarding football than probably any other qb just doesn't love the game and only cares about money? Remember Ben contemplated retirement numerous times while Brady would play until he's 50 if he could.

Brady might play until he's 50.
Ben talked about retirement until he knew Haley was gone, then he started talking about 3 more years.

I can only assume that, away from the board, mac texts a lot about former RBs of little repute.

I think it’s probably somewhere in the middle.

Brady is a competitor and no doubt understands the bigger cap picture.

At the same time, he’s smart enough to not get ripped off.

For example: worth noting that his current contract converted base salary to signing bonus in 2016, which had the effect that his suspension hurt him financially far less than a similar punishment would hurt other QBs.

That but I think Ben cares more about his health and family than anything which is no problem. Brady would have to be dragged off the field in a stretcher I think for him to stop he loves it way too much this is the guy who literally spends all his time watching film, discovering new ways to recover he literally made pajamas that he thought would help, certain bed he uses for recovery, etc... not tomatoes and avocado ice cream. I mean he's literally obsessed.

If Big Ben wanted to work for less that's great, but no way should he be criticized for not taking a pay cut. JMO

I'm not because I don' view Ben in the same light of a Montana, manning, Rodgers, Brady, elway etc... I see him as a notch below. I'm just stating if we are going to keep looking at the pats as the roadblock why not take notes on what they do?

I don't concern myself with what the Pats are doing.

You dont have to as a fan but I'm talking about the players and coaches. They seem to be concerned with what NE was found because that's all they could talk about all last season.
