I wasn't very impressed at first but man he has sure come a long way. I remember he blew up the Shrine game and then we drafted him and I was excited. Then they took their time with him and I was like man maybe he isn't catching on, but like with a lot of the guys the Steelers draft it takes some time and I think he could be a very good back up if not more. I kinda see flashes of Chad Brown in the way he rushes sometimes.

These players with exclusive rights contracts have no choice but to sign vet mini contracts, there only other choice is to quit playing nfl football, they also signed another ERFA player cobi hamilton to a 1 year vet mini contract 540 K, I was surprised at how many ERFAs we had on this team, eleven in total, be interesting to see their offer to our starting left tackle AV who is ERFA, surely they arent going to only offer him vet mini to be our starter next year, if they do thats about as low as it gets:

i did read AV gets some bonus money for starting but nowhere near what we should pay him. i agree diamond. we should at least offer him 2.5-3 mil. a year minimum and thats a lowball.

I totally agree with them signing all these ERFAs to vet minis because they aren't starters yet, and that helps the cap a lot until they can prove they can start, but AV has earned the right to get paid, and I think the front office will be fair with him on a new contract, no one has worked harder at his craft than AV....

Steven Johnson got a one year deal. I'm really happy for him. He did an interview on the differences in the Steelers and other organizations and seemed to really really want to come back here.

i was wondering why it seemed like they were signing so many guys to 1 year deals. i dont ever remember there being this many. all the guys theyve signed so far have been solid guys though. good signings. now go out and get that one splash guy that no one sees coming and ill be happy.

They'll take care of AV, they wouldn't screw him like that. Guys a starting LT in the NFL, playing very well.

Priorities. They have signed the futures and development players, the ERFA have all been tendered, now comes the franchise tag to Bell along with talks with Brown once those two are dealt with they will know the amount of money they have available and they will make reasonable offers to the guys that are in their plans. They resigned a guy that never saw the field on a one year deal do you really think the won't at least make an offer on a former 1st round pick that they spent 4 yrs developing? He may go elsewhere or not take the offer but if people are hoping the Steelers will just cut all ties with him again remember guys like Ziggy Hood and Slyvester Stevenson.

I have no idea how the Steelers view Jarvis but I do know that how fans view players and how the Steelers view players is usually miles apart.

    *cough* Landry Jones *cough*
