Getting thin. As if OL depth wasn't an issue already.

I'm rooting for Golic to make the team big time, mainly the reason why is when the teams were calling the UDFA after the draft his dad told him the steelers would be the best fit for him, bcause , of our Oline depth, ( or smthing to that effect) But i havnt heard from him in camp, and i dont think he got in the game Sat..

I read somewhere that things had improved once they moved him inside, but nothing more than that.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement. "Hey son, go with the Steelers, they always have a ton of injuries and you suck ass, they'll have to give you a spot anyway".

Dammit! Forgot about Embernate (sp/), being done for...
So, as usual, we are prayin for O-linemen to stay healthy(except those who hate Foster)...
And, sumthin I forgot to take into account...
How`d Mike Adams look, after the switch on sides of the line, and his recent surgery?!?!
Glad to see he could be out there, given the severity of the surgery, but forgot to pay attention to how he held up.
Pass blocking was his weakness so far, did he look any better at that?
    I forgot to pay attention.
And just the fact that he was playing, means he has recovered pretty well, but enuff that we aren`t concerned about him being weakened/ easily injured?
    Yikes.
Not tryin to be chicken little, or anything, just an issue that completley slipped my mind...
Just a month ago, we were hopin he could get back on the field, period...
    ?
    GO STEELERS!

During the game they showed a replay of one of his attempts at pass blocking, it wasn't pretty. The DL drove him straight back like he was wearing skates. Other than that I don't remember any major issues, but we didn't have much success running to the left side.

adams is going to be the starter again at LT at least for this week. he was OK. no joe Thomas look alike or anything. he's working at it. he was at a slight disadvantage with such a short time to work before camp. less then two weeks.

Good lord why can't this team stay healthy? At least we have some cash to get depth as the waiver wire gets fatter towards the end of the preseason.

I am rooting for him as well. I listen to his dad every morning on the radio so my wanting him is based just on liking his dad and not really ability.

I did see him in the game on Saturday but it was just for a field goal or extra point...cant remember which.

yea sarge, I think he is capable of becoming a swing backup guy inside with a little RT in a pinch type. I want to see more though. that's all he was at ND really.
