If the line blocks like they did the other night, Batch won't last more than a few series.

The offense looked more cohesive than usual a few times when Batch last started. He'll get rid of the ball quickly and we'll show that we have a running game when we want to.

Somebody (Texans?) didn't bring in McNabb because their system was too complicated. So McNabb would be the perfect backup for us because we have no system on offense.

Maybe Check down Charlies last time to start an NFL game for his
hometown team. Good luck Charlie and play lights out. You have been
good for the community and keep up the good work outside the playing field.

Charlie did a great job for us last year starting those first 4 games. Yes, he had more prep time with the first team, but I think he will be fine today. I, too, think it is great that as his career winds down that he gets this start, possibly his last, in front of his hometown fans. Someone else posted this, but I think he would be a great addition to the staff as qb coach.

That being said, and I have said this before, I think Ben, assuming the ankle is ready, needs to at least start next week against the clowns. He needs to keep the rust off for the SB run.

    Good luck CB!

i hope he makes it through the entire game. this oline is pretty bad and in the short time Batch was in against the Browns he was taking some shots.

it would not shock me to see Dixon in this game. from what i hear the Rams have a pretty decent pass rush.

Me too. He won't be as good as some want him to be but he also won't be as bad as some expect him to be. He'll manage the game, limit the turnovers and get the victory in the end. Simply not turning the ball over will win this game for us. Actually forcing a turnover or two ourselves today would win the game. For whatever reason that seems easier said than done though this year :(
