So.. technically we have Brandon Staley to thank for this!!!

 

He would still be good if they had tied

 

As I said.... do not tie.

 

For me, the season is a huge success. We're going to the playoffs and the Chokers are staying home! Damned Raiders making Herbert look like Montana late in the game.......

 

I didn't stay up late to watch the 4th quarter and OT because of early work today. Just watched the highlight on NFL network and HOLY SH!T did we come close to that game ending in a tie!

The way this weekend played out is just incomprehensible. I mean, the way the Jags had to beat the colts, we had to pull out a win on Boz's leg after converting two 3rd and longs and a 4th and long in OT. Then avoid a tie in this game that was decided as OT clock expired! I mean, what if raiders didn't get that run at the end to get into FG range? Would they still have kicked a long FG attempt or thrown a hail mary to the EZ or just run some BS draw play to run the clock and finish in a tie. Raiders were pretty much guaranteed a playoff spot at that point. Wow, is all I can say.

 

You're lucky. Collinsworth started talking about both teams playing for a tie late in the 4th. He was relentless. "Imagine what the Steelers are feeling right now?" He was so bad, Al called him a conspiracy theorist. Chris wouldn't shut up about, "Why not just play for the tie and BOTH teams go to the playoffs?" Nauseating.
