    so.....

I was under an incorrect assumption all week, until the epiphany hit me last night.

And i in a larger sense, the Phil Collins song is my theme right now: "I Don't Care Anymore", because our playoff future is not deep, but.......

I did not realize until last eve that if we lose tonight, we travel to BALT next week.

NO WAY IN HE&% they want that game.

They will GO ALL OUT TO WIN TONIGHT!

HOU - here we come baby!!!!

the END OF THE LOSING SKID STARTS TONIGHT!!!!

i honestly thought there was no incentive to win, but THERE IS!!!! there will be NO RESTING OF ANYONE

That ship has sailed, Lamar and company have cracked the code and it wouldn't surprise me to see us lose several in a row against them. You have to keep mind that 8-2 record is misleading, Jackson didn't play in half of those games.

I’m not ready to go there yet. In that last game we were undermanned and two turnovers by Wilson gave them huge momentum when we had seized it.

I may actually prefer the Ravens in the wild card round because we know them very well, and that could help negate the “Tomlin effect” of seemingly being vastly less prepared than the opponent.

They would travel to Balt with a loss, only if the Chargers also win. A Chargers loss will put the Steelers in Houston next week, no matter what, outside of winning the division..

The Chargers aren't losing to the Raiders.

Eh, I'm not so sure there was a "code" to crack. Our defense plays him well and it basically took 3 injuries in our secondary and a less than 100% Watt to "crack" our defense. They also sealed the game on a pick 6... Wilson essentially turned it over in a near guaranteed 7 points situation on their 2, and then threw them 7 points directly. The game gets a lot tighter if Wilson doesn't make those glaring mistakes. Not saying we'd win... but turnovers by the offense have been the main contributing factor to our 3 game skid.

Najee fumbled away our shot at Philly (though it somehow got credited to Wilson), Wilson fumbled and pick sixed our chances against Baltimore, and Wilson threw away our shot at taking the lead and making the Chiefs game an actual game with yet another red zone turnover. All 3 games ended up getting away from us, but when we needed to play clean football against the better teams, we've faltered offensively. Lamar is like 2-4 against us and 2-4 in the playoffs. Until he gets somewhere in the post season (or beats us regularly), the notion that he shrinks in the big games is going to continue. I can guarantee that Baltimore would rather not face us (even with our team fading down the stretch). Nobody wants a divisional game in the post season, especially one that has historically been known for being physical. I'd also not want to face the Ravens (probably even more so than Buffalo). Houston is gettable for sure, but we gotta beat the Bengals first. I think today's game is paramount. Go into the post season with a bit of momentum and face a lesser opponent or go into the postseason on an L4 skid and travel to our rivals.... I know which one has a better shot at going well for us.

If the Steelers beat the Bengals then the Chargers will rest everyone tomorrow because they will be locked into the #6 seed. So the Raiders probably will win with that scenario.

And it's not like the Steelers have had great QBs in those games.
