I figured they were preoccupied whether Burfict made a clean catch and if he was down by contact (and, if so, determining the proper spot).

Woah! Stop the presses! Pause that video at 27 seconds and what do you see?

Is that a Bengals staffer running down the middle of the field? "He ain't pose to be on da field!"

    Where's the penalty flag!

    Where's the outrage?!

The down fall of William Gay touchdowns. A guaranteed 15 yard penalty.

Yeah, I don't mind the celebrations as long as the don't get to carried away. I don't see how it could be seen as classless though.

Their dance moves were terrible. No rhythm at all.

There are 2 flags that could have been thrown on Burfict running out of the stadium with his gang of thugs. Excessive celebration - 15 yards. Delay of game - 10 yards.

pretty sure both are in the rule books. More then one player celebrating is a 15 yarder as we learned with Gay's dance with Dupree. Kicking the ball into the stands is also a delay of game...just like running out of the stadium.

Also should have been a flag on Burfict for shoving our trainer - 15 yards... and another for stomping on Foster's foot - which Foster was actually penalized for reacting.

It's 15 yards assessed against the scoring team, so it adds 15 yards to the distance they're kicking off. Boswell is only 34% on kickoff touchbacks (26-of-76) as it is; making him kick from the 20 has a greater negative impact on the Steelers than some other teams.

Here are the kickers with about the same number of kickoffs as Boswell, ranked by touchback percentage. (It does NOT account for kickoffs with penalties applied in either direction; I assumed that'd come out in the wash.)
    KICKER Kickoffs Touchbacks TB%
    Pat McAfee 74 67 91%
    Justin Tucker 73 63 86%
    Brandon McManus 78 55 71%
    Matthew Bosher 74 52 70%
    Jason Myers 79 55 70%
    Dan Bailey 71 49 69%
    Dustin Hopkins 76 52 68%
    Sebastian Janikowski 77 44 57%
    Josh Lambo 72 41 57%
    Jordan Gay 75 42 56%
    Blair Walsh 86 47 55%
    Steven Hauschka 88 47 53%
    Mason Crosby 78 41 53%
    Robbie Gould 78 39 50%
    Mike Nugent 87 41 47%
    Cairo Santos 88 40 45%
    Travis Coons 70 27 39%
    Chris Boswell 74 26 35%

But you know what , in the end the celebrations are not only for the player and the team but for the fans. do we want the players running around the field like in base ball, home run, not a smile , not a tip of the hat. robots.

I think all of the players should at least acknowledge the fans when a score is made, tip your hats, raise your helmets( on the sidelines) high five the fans when going into the tunnel.

It is us who cheer for them, let them give a little back.

maybe the players cant leave the field , or it cant last 10 minutes but c'mon . This sport is high energy for crying out loud.

AJ almost punted it in the playoff game on his TD but smartly decided not to.
