With that news. Vega$ just made the Bye 6 point favorites.

The Browns are still 28 point underdogs against the same Bye week.

I can't stand celebrating. I think it's foolish. The flip is a bad idea, and an injury waiting to happen. Equally as frustrating is the first down point and drop. I'm just waiting for a player to be called for taunting and have that effect the outcome of the game. And don't even get me started on defensive players who do their little celebration/dance whenever they make a play. Do you see the fry cook at McDonalds do the moonwalk after he dumps the fries? No. Because it's his job.
As for the celebrations themselves, some of them seem quite dumb too. What's up with the bicep high five? That just looks like an injury waiting to happen. And I've seen a lot more of players headbutting each other after a play. Um, doesn't the NFL already have a concussion problem?
I want all players to be like Heath. He could be stabbed by a defender and have the knife sticking out of him, and he would just calmly pull the knife out and go back to the huddle. Barry Sanders was the same way.

I'm not a fan of unnecessary celebrations, or foolishly timed ones.. Doing a dance after a sack while there is a LOOSE FOOTBALL your teammates are fighting for, is the definition of stupidity and selfishness. I've seen this more than ever this year. Everybody wants their "look at me moment." There's a right time for that, and a wrong time for that.

As long as they're not celebrating during a live play, or when they're down big in a game, I don't mind it. These guys are entertainers after all.. Football is entertainment, no matter how seriously you take it. It's just a game.. It's just entertainment. The GOdell rules against celebration are a joke... It's taking football way more serious than it actually is.

Guys like AB are self-promoters, promoting their individual brand. They're only in the league for so long, so they have to make the most of it while they can. That flip probably gained him some new fans tbh. More kids who want to go buy his jersey, follow him on Twitter, buy his merchandise, whatever.

Ever been to a Rock concert?
Would be pretty boring if those guys just stood there and played their guitars.
    It's entertainment!

I hate it too. I guess I live in my fears, but all I think when I see those flips is why take a chance of injuring yourself and hurt your team? I have the worst luck so I automatically think worst case scenario.

I think the "look at me moment" thing is spot on, hammer. And I think some of it at least is generational. I heard a comedian once talking about this generation and all their selfies. He said something like, "when I was in high school if you went to someone's house and they had a wall of pictures of themselves, you would have thought they were a nut job."

Dance around like a dead chicken for all I care, but I hate watching these guys do flips. It wasn't that long ago a soccer player died on the field whole attempting a flip. Why do the riskiest possible thing he could? I hope Tomlin tells him that if he does it again, he's benched for a full half

I don't know if he's referring to the Steelers game or not, but watch the highlights of the Seahawks game. Pay close attention when Avril forces the fumble and look at everyone celebrating while the ball is flopping around on the ground. This celebrating thing is going too far. These idiots don't even wait for the play to be over before they celebrate.

    Here's the video

I think he was referring to the Raiders game. Once when Mike Mitchell knocked the ball out on a big hit and once when Rosie Nix knocked the ball out on a kickoff.

AB is a showman, if he gets hurt it would be a shame.
    Incredible talent.

Some guy was trying to argue with me on twitter on Sunday he said Odell Beckham was a better WR than AB, and that he would take Beckham over AB anyday. I told this fool don't fall for the media hype, Beckham dropped a potential game winning TD vs the Patriots.

Aye, he could represent at the Olympics for that particular sport.

I remember discussing with a friend about why players do it, because it isn't like a ref is going to go - "you know, I thought saw nothing, but not you've thrown your arms about wildly, I've just remembered that I did."

My friend argued that the protest wasn't about the play that had just happened, but more about the next call - if the player creates a suggestion the ref might have missed something, then they'll look harder for it on the next play.

I'm not sure he's right, though.

Players are people they all come with their own traits , I to do admire a work man effort and approach , but nothing wrong with being a bit brash either . The other guys are talking pure crap to the WR'S Miller probably doesn't get that kind of abuse ... Make no mistake getting in the head of a WR is a big tactic employed by all, so who can blame him for a bit of in your face ......

My fear during the flip was.... if AB fumbles the ball on the landing.... will the refs consider that a 'football move' or not.... and use replay to determine the validity of the catch (sarcasm... but seriously :hmm:)

Lol, yeah.. probably a bit of both. As a ref, if I'd seen something borderline that me reaching for a flag, seeing a receiver waving his hands all over the place like he'd just been strip searched would probably have me tucking it away.

They're all pretty similar these days. These kids are raised from the time they're in Pee Wee to believe that they walk on water, so it's not surprising that they feel if they didn't make a catch, it just HAD to be PI.
