I'm sure he loves the Tomlin way. Do the bare minimum to get a paycheck every year. What a disaster our beloved Steelers have become.

Sometimes these guys just need to know when to keep their damn mouths shut. If the Patriots’ way had led to losing, it wouldn’t have been nearly as bad of a look. But the fact that he was there in a SB year just makes it seem like he’s not willing to put in the hard work necessary to win.

if you actually read the article it's not what most of you are making it out to be. just all this hate of marsh going on is really crazy. he played all of two parts of two games and spent 3 weeks here. thrown on the field without much of any practice because of the covid restrictions and he's supposed to know the defense and be all world his first game played. get real.:cool:

They're getting paid funny money to play a game. Maybe he's just a snowflake.

I get what you're your point is. Part of our shared disgust is generational. But, that is an over simplification. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck......

Far too often, something about this team doesn't pass the eye test. The team plays hard for it's coach. I've never questioned that. But, they continually commit stupid mistakes at critical times. To my way of thinking, if you want to praise Tomlin for the way the team fights under his watch, then he has to take some of the flak for the them being a dart without feathers.

Look how often his players inter action with social media become topics of discussion for all the wrong reasons. Now, third stringers apparently feel free to unload on what irritates them about an organizations that won six Super Bowls over two decades. Sorry, but that speaks more about the culture surrounding the Steelers than it does the Patriots. And that falls at Tomlins feet. I don't know how anyone could reach any other conclusion.

Just another example of why these guys should never give an honest opinion in an interview. Of course the same people hammering Marsh will also be all over Tomlin when he gives meaningless answers in press conferences.

Quite. He’s also not saying he’s opposed to hard work. Two things jumped out at me from the article:

    1. He said it wasn’t fun to play there. Ok, that sounds a bit dickish on his part.

    2. He said they didn’t leave adequate time for proper eating. For such a well oiled machine you’d expect NE to have dieticians on this, surely? Athletes have to eat properly. So that sounds a bit dickish on the Pats side.

Call it a score draw, move along.

I guess I just wasn't at all surprised by what he said about the way the Patriots do things. I think other former players have made similar comments. Given that he is a scrub, I'm just not sure how much weight his words have. It si really easy to just say that's why he has never been able to hold on to a job in the NFL for very long.

Well, if the Steelers cut him, he could find those remarks biting him in the ass.

I hope it happens, not because I have some great problem with what Marsh said. I don't dislike the guy, but I hope the Steelers can find an upgrade because he simply isn't very good.
