This is true for most teams, but when Tomlin was asked about his thought process a couple years ago his response was: "First and foremost what I see, ground level, field level, from my eyes. Then assistant coaches and video board but first and foremost, my eyes."

I don't see the Situational Awareness part of your breakdown.

Why else would we have hired MC? Hopefully it’s not because he actually thinks he is qualified and good for the job. If that’s the case Mike needs a lobotomy.

No Dino did get recruited to Maryland by MC that’s a fact. So the question is did he bring him on because of a friendship or because he thinks he’s a good NFL OC? Have you seen a MC offense? Do you think he’s good? You have been watching football for a century.

And why is that with all this great technology? Maybe they need someone watching the game on TV :roflmao:

It's a flawed system, but most of this simply is not true.

As someone who worked for a company that provided AV support at Heinze field, I know for a fact what we were and were not showing in the stadium during close plays to the visiting teams. If a call for the visiting team was called incomplete but a slow motion replay showed it to be complete, that replay was not shown on the big screen.

The referee in the booth said that it was clearly a catch by Pickens and was puzzled about why Tomlin didn't throw the challenge flag. It was a big play for a first down but instead they had to punt. I don't think Tomlin is a terrible coach but mistakes like that can sometimes be the difference between winning and losing.

You mean the former referee on the broadcast that gets different replays than the coaches?

I don't know about that but the short answer is Tomlin sucks at the challenge game.

So, if a coach makes decisions that sometimes makes his team lose, what kind of coach is that?

Its not semantics. Just because YOU think its cheating, doesn't make it true. Cheating would be doing something against the set rules. The replays that they show on the jumbotron is not a part of the game. That is there for the spectators.

If what they are doing is within the rules, it's not cheating.
