He was rolling out because....wait for it....it was a designed role out.....not because He was running for His life ....on one occasion He rolled out without having 2...He seems sometimes 2 see thing that aren't there. It's cool .....If He plays.....I definitely wish Him well....unlike some ....if You are starting for My beloved Steelers....I want You 2 do well.

1st one was a designed roll out that He found nobody on ,and took a sack the 2nd was over 4 seconds almost 5.....Average time in a pocket is 3.5(on all teams).....So I don't know how You blame the Line on either of those sacks.

    That explains a lot.

Pickett is the future, that is the guy I am going to be excited about. Trubisky is a bridge at most, thats nothing to get excited about.

We havent been in this position in 20 years, I’m not going to be reserved and hold judgment until Pickett proves he is actually the next guy, I’m going to enjoy the **** out of the process as it is happening. Others can take the boring approach it they want.

Again disagree...As soon as the the game started , the OL( all of them got pushed straight back ) he HAD to roll out...

Whatever, it's cool...I'm not gonna answer every post with a post...Games count starting Sunday

    Go Steelers

How about the many on here with wild hope and faith in Haskins who couldn't beat out MR last year?

I don't have a dog in this race so whoever starts at QB, so be it and wish them well. But what if you're chosen future QB doesn't prove he is actually the guy? What defines him as being a success? Just curious as I am more conservative and hold my judgement until something is actually proven. That's just me though.

Then you waste three seasons and try again in the draft. Unless you are the Browns which in that case you draft one every year. But Steelers will be patient.

Same reason as with Trubisky, both Haskins and him came from terrible situations. Haskins was more of a dart throw because he had maturity issues as well as work ethic issues, Trubisky is light years ahead in those two departments.

I don’t know what posts you were reading that had a lot of faith in Haskins though. Just some people hoping that a change of scenery and good organization would turn him around. Sadly his life came to a tragic end.

Trade Mason and create some more cap space to maybe go sign some secondary guys who might get cut this week that are decent or any o lineman that get cut or are sitting at home waiting for an opportunity. Keeping Mason on the team as a 3rd string QB and not dressing him serves no purpose for the immediate future zero, none, nada, zilch. It’s not gonna help the team win games early in the season and get off to a better start which they desperately need to do.

What if the name Pickett the starter, Mason the backup and trade Mitch for a couple of thirds and a carton of smokes?

I'm not sure about many things but Pickett showed something we haven't seen from the Steelers in a while yesterday. That backshoulder throw made a believer out of me. He has also made some tight seam throws to Muth that was reminiscent of Ben and Heath at their peak. The kid just seems to get it at this stage. I'm not going to mind Mitch starting but there is something about Pickett that can't be ignored.
