Cant order a throwback jersey from NFLSHOP.COM

Hello there everyone i was hoping to get some info hear as basically iv just tried to order a steelers jersey from nilshop.com and cant.

Ok so I'm still new to the nfl, iv only been watching it for around 3 years, but lately iv fallen in love with the throwback jersey and wanted to order one for some time.

Iv just tried to order a elite jersey with (PIRATE) (83) in size 60 but have been told that a direct manufactured jersey cant be send to me in england, dose anybody know why this is as i think the throwback jersey is the best looking jersey in the nfl (I know allot of you will disagree with me)

Any info will be awesome as I'm quite confused by this problem. (Iv orderd game day jerseys without any problem, but the throwback jersey is only available in elite)

 

Welcome "Pirate" - does your name imply you also follow baseball here in the Colonies? You've come to the right place for answers - some good advice and some funny (or try to be) - we have several Brits who visit here frequently (we know because they often discuss the Steelers defense). I'm sure someone can either direct you to the right ordering house or smuggle it to you via other means. You've already found out more info than I knew - I wasn't aware the throwback unis were available to the public - I thought that was part of the charm to create a pent up demand for these occasional, albeit controversial unis but keep a tight lid on their distribution.

As far as reason's why they can't be shipped to Britain might have something to due with the recent Brexit vote and the fact that the Steelers dynasty of the 70's had a tailback who went by the name of "Frenchy" Fuqua (and the French don't like the Brits apparently) who was involved in the most famous Steeler play of all time when he possibly volleyed the ball to Franco Harris on the Immaculate Reception. If you like the Bumble Bee unis you would have loved Frenchy - he once wore male platform shoes that had glass heels with live goldfish swimming around in them. Good luck with your quest and I wish you could keep that "Pirate" name and "#1" post side by side in perpetuity - something we old Pittsburgher's can only dream about.

 

LOL we english don't like the frence either or the ausis for that matter. its really digging at me that i cant order a throwback jersey from the nfl shop as i don't want a cheap nock off jersey.

If its down to the brexit vote then serves me right as i voted LEAVE

But on a serious note I'm still searching for somewhere i can order a throwback jersey for myself.

Oh and the pirate name comes from my niece (She's 2 years old) I'm always wearing a bandana (To hid my gray hair) but i claim it makes me more handsome Plus I'm a big fan of a anime called (One piece) (Its all about pirates) then i live in bristol UK where my local football team (soccer team) Is bristol rovers who are THE PIRATES.

The steelers site only goes to 56 and i like my jerseys as loose as i can get them (Via 60) Nflshop has them in 60's but won't send them tho the uk.
