One thing to keep in mind, it’s a new regime. We have no idea how Khan will approach these kind of situations.

What significance does midseason make?? You are not going to find a high level replacement now or midseason, you have a statistically worse offense than you had at the start of last season, and an offense that still was putrid at the end of last season. So get rid of him, put Thomas in and see what he can do, you are going to eat Canada's contract if you move him now or later, the O may not be much, but we have seen the high end of Canada, 17 pts a game. Just do it for our sanity.

Actually Ray isn’t prone to this type of stuff which gets an eyebrow raise from me.

I would think the bye week would be a better spot to do it.

Orders are coming from the top this time, produce positive results or GTFO.

what has happened to our QB whisperers in glenn thomas and mike sullivan? wasn't thomas supposed to be the next coming? fix the line. let warren run the ball. quit letting muth be the main blocking TE. let the first round pick send okrafor to the bench. throw to mt. washington. kenny, wake the F up. cole wake the F up. najee, wake the F up. use allen robinson as well. you have 3 good WR's that are open, get the damn ball to them. enough is enough. this ain't friggin rocket science.

I would agree as we have an early bye, but I am also not hyped by a week or 2 of 'improvement' of just getting to mediocre. Not saying this O is 30 pts per game, but they have got to move the chains, score some TD's and get the D off the field for some rest.

I agree with this. I will be surprised if this actually happens though. But, I was also surprised when he was kept after last season. Whether he is fired or not, somebody has to take over the play calling duties. He sucks at that.

Here is the unseen factor, have no idea about Canada's internal drive and condition, sometimes a guy thrives when pressed, but we have not seen this. The O did get better at some point last season, but it still was not truly something that other teams feared. Bottom line the extent of what he calls may have been what we saw when we had our 'success' last year, and if that is the goal just make the move for crying out loud.

Tomlin will throw him under the bus and fire him in the next 3 weeks if things don't turn around because Tomlin is coaching for his job this year since Khan didn't extend him yet. So no chance he waits til' the end of the year. Khan has made Tomlin uncomfortable and I love it.

Huh, don’t remember that but that sounded pretty definitive. Seems like they decided to give him more time.

    We’ll know soon enough.

I gotta believe Tomlin is going to have a short leash this year. I've already seen it with a few of his comments. I just see no way he puts his fate in Canada coaching all season and us missing the playoffs again and him getting fired alongside him. I honestly think Canada is game to game at this point.

I have to admit the rhetoric coming out of Tomlin's mouth is unprecedented. Something has changed, starting with the "fire Canada" chant Rooney had to hear at the stadium last Monday. Good for the fans who are sick of this crap.

Typically those changes don't lead to positive results during the season but placate the fan base temporarily. I think the Panthers last season when they had their fire sale before the trade deadline proved that making some changes in the roster can force a positive effect though.
