Why in the world would you call a play where Ben runs the ball? After being sacked a few times and barely getting up that is asking for a real problem. Ben is barely making it now and as I said in another thread we could see a meltdown like last year.

I would have loved it if he actually had picked up the first down. Ben has the mobility of Casey Hampton at this point in his career.

Ben lowered his head and tried to power to it. It was actually kind of impressive.

It’s too bad he was not here when we had Michael Vick. Then we could have had Canada coaching Mexico.

Yea a few calls last night were questionable. The pass to Kevin Radar on 3rd and 2 made no sense, and I know Harris needs a break every now and then but it doesn’t mean you have to give the ball to Ballage when he is out of the game for consecutive plays.

Unfortunately he came up short but I was glad to see him try, good to see him doing whatever is necessary to win.

TBH, I don't recall ever seeing Ben slide in his career. So that, in itself, is impressive.

He probably thought it would catch the Bears off guard.

In Canada's defense, he has a QB on his last leg, plus 2 rookies on the O-line.

His slide move couldn't be any worse than Field's slide Monday night.

And that may be insulting Hampton.

It was good to see him pull out the stops, like his rush & dive into the end zone a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately that one was called back on penalty, and Monday's was just short (though I thought the ref gave him a conservative spot).

I was more concerned with all the 2nd and very long situations where running plays were called that went nowhere. It's apparent the box is being stacked against the run no matter the yardage required - almost like a dare to pass. And it happened often Monday Night.

Ben is very efficient with his short and medium range passes. His long passes are still way too inconsistent, inaccurate and usually well underthrown. Green has been very disappointing so far. His run blocking a bit more so than his pass blocking which hasn't been very impressive for his draft position. Moore Jr. has been very disappointing in pass blocking but does show some signs of improvement, as expected by his draft position.

These issues really do not reflect how bad Canada really is though. His play calling is baffling at times. I really wish Haley and Ben didn't beat heads because with all their flaws, Haley actually designed some good plays and kept Ben relatively clean. They really need to develop a run blocking offense next year and we will see Najee take off.

I am disappointed in Matt Canada, But I think #7 may
have a say in how things have gone along with a very young OL
    and receiving core.

Call Keith Artie Burns has made the field today for the Bears due to injury.

Played okay in coverage, but still ran away from making tackles
