The more important games for the Ravens to lose, tie-breaker-wise, are against Washington and NYG - go figure; non-conf games could decide the outcome. Why? Because we won both of those, and the 3rd tie-breaker for division opponents (after head-to-head and division wins) is common games between both teams. Right now they own the edge thanks to our debacles against OAK & CLE. However, if they should happen to lose to WASH & NYG, then we're down to their matchup against CIN. Should they win that, then all else is moot unless they go 1-3.

I'd love for the Bengals to beat the Ravens. That would put a pretty big dent in their notion that they own the AFC North.

i think they are in trouble. rg3 can beat them and are on a roll starting tonight to get in the PO's in the NFC. they can beat the rats.

    denver beats the rats.

NY in a race with wash. beats them.

cinci won't matter, for them. we will win it by 1 game. total meltdown by the pretenders. we are starting on a roll with players starting to get healthy. MT keep shaking it up and keeping them hungry. nobody gets a free pass. this is possible. we want a home game or two. might as well aim high. like the U.S.A.F.

I think i like us better as the wildcard spot it seems to make us play with a lose or go home attitude and when you lock up a spot you seem to get complacit and think its gauranteed to you and we all know its any given sunday in todays NFL "lets go Steelers"

The only thing I don't like about this option is the possibility that we may have to play in Denver again - losing Ryan Clark. I know that whether or not we win the division we still may have to go there, but that WC round last year just makes me antsy to get the division championship and the home game.

we are not a good road team this year. besides all games in the PO's are win or go home. i'd rather we get a home game with a better chance of hosting indy in pittsburgh in the afccg. it could happen.:cool:

I didn't read all the responses before mine, but the ravens have a tough coming schedule with teams we beat who are playing good mid season ball except the chargers. Plus, Suggs is knocked up a bit. There is a small chance for some magic.

It's not a forgone conclusion yet.

In 2008, Denver choked away a three-game lead with three games remaining. So it wouldn't be unprecedented.

Not a good road team against bad teams. There are no more road games against bad teams on the schedule.

Man I love to hate Dallas. They are the original team that I hated and I still hate them and I will always hate them. Right now I probably hate the Rats the most just because of the rivalry and I despise Flacco. But overall I don't think I could ever harbor such animosity for a team as I do for the Cowgirls. My dad likes them though and has since the 70s but he doesn't like Romo and he just sorta casually keeps up with them. I told someone when my son was born that I don't know what I would do if he grew up to be a Cowgirls fan. I am just flat out not going to allow it. He's about to be 2 and he loves to do what I do and I influence him greatly so I don't think I'm gonna have to worry about it really. But I would be DEVASTATED if he picked any team but the Steelers. But if he picked the Cowgirls I would need professional help to deal with that decision!

Assuming that we are not tied with the Bungles for the wildcard, at that point, I would agree...
Otherwise, watch what you ask for, you just might get it...
They play the last week of the season, I think... And if Balt has homefield wrapped up, and we are fighting with the Bungles for a final wildcard spot, Do ya really think Balt will fight hard for that game?
Maybe rest their starters? And not "exactly", "hand" the Bungles a win to keep us out of the playoffs, but, maybe just, not play, quite as hard as they would, if losing the game, kept us out of the playoffs, and put Cincy in?
Who would they rather play in the post season, really???
Hopefully we win out, and it won`t matter.
Or at least beat the Bungles again, and wind up in the playoffs via the tiebreaker...
I doubt the Cravens collapse, and we win out, to get the division, but stranger things have happened...
I just hope it`s not in the Craven`s hands, to gift-wrap Cincy a win, that gets them in the playoffs, instead of us.
As long as we beat Cincy... That is doubtful, but still not impossible...
Win out, Dammit, and we`re in, no matter WHAT anyone else does!!!:yeehaw:

Oh, I would not put Dallas in a category with tennessee and Oakland. Dallas is in the playoff hunt.

with the Redskins winning and going to 6-6 just 1 game back of the giants for the div lead the upcoming game vs the ravens could be very interesting and very telling of our chances ... if the Ravens drop that game ( and they just might ) its game on , if they win we are looking at a wild card as best case scenario IMO .....
