His TD% was about the same that Brady in 2004 and he was top of the nfl in 2005.His yards per pass attempts,Ben was in the top 3 each years. He make so many big play in those years.

Which is called game management, and all Qbs that are good are good game managers.

Can I get an Amen to that?? JMO , but it seems foolish to throw all of your picks at one guy, which may, or may not be good, when You can get multiple players, and have a better chance at getting a few good ones. Of course JMO

You are absolutely hilarious. Tomlin couldn’t develop a chicken with the egg sitting right in front of him.
Some on here are absolutely hilarious! But, he won a Superbowl 15 yrs ago and he lost another.
Best one of all he never had a losing season. You know who you are.
Tomlin can go another 20 yrs without a playoff win and some think he is the greatest.
Reminds me of SNL Lower Expectations Dating Site( that’s where my wife met me):roflmao::hehehe::roflmao:
Adding, if Tomlin would’ve drafted Ben, he probably would’ve made Ben our punter.
    True story
You can’t make this poop up

I agree....Ben ls was great at big plays, but He , and Brady were both game managers, but it's not a bad thing. All great Qbs are game managers to a point.

I don't see anything ridiculous here, I think you're pretty much on the money.
8th position is not an awful position to be in.

Howard is a commodity that a lot of folks aren't even so much as giving the slightest chance to.
But he did show up in the big ones and he played well in the stretch.
I'm not about to preach him up as I haven't seen him play a down that counts but I would imagine at worst case he can be a decent #2.
So today, I am saying he offers no relief on the pressure on picking a QB next year.

It takes 2 to make a deal, I have zero idea what each teams are next year other than the fact that the Steelers need a QB.
My guess as of today is that they will stand pat and pick 12 young players.

Those pick don’t do much for moving up for a QB. It’s going to take 1st rd picks. They could use those 12 picks to finish rebuilding the roster and then get a QB.

It’s going to depend on where they finish this year. If they advance to the playoffs and win a game, they are probably looking at the 27 draft for a QB. If they do terrible this year and are picking between 10-15, I can see them going for a QB.

Bet the media in SF and NE laughed there ass off when fans said Montana and Brady could be franchise QB's. That said, I see Howard as a journeyman but one can hope.

This thread will be made moot after Rodgers kicks ass and signs for two more years;)

The Titans drafted Cam Ward as the #1 pick overall, Mason Rudolph wouldn't have started over him.

Not only will the Steelers be selecting a QB in 2026, look for them to trade up in the 2026 QB Class. That said, a lot of that is gonna be decided if the likes of Sellers and Presumably Drew Allar return back to school. Thanks to the NIL of College Football, players can stay in College longer and earn a good cushion (security blanket for some) in case things dont go well during that season. Compare those prospects versus being a First Round QB vs a Second Round one. Millions of Dollars on the table.

Even with that asterisk, I still believe there will be QBs available in this class. I already ruled out Arch and may likely rule out LaNorris as well depending on how he looks by mid season. Drew could declare but Id say that is 50/50 unless he posts a National Title Level Campaign. Nico may likely declare but how he handles his UCLA Campaign will be under a massive microscope.

That leaves Sean Leavitt from Arizona State, Cade Klubnik from Clemson or Fernando Mendoza from Indiana University as the current likely Round One options. Of the three?! Mendoza piques my interest very much.

Now, in the event that the Steelers do not select a QB, then @Blast Furnace@Blast Furnace is correct on the premise of maxing out the Offense with Will Howard at the helm for 2026. That said, Broderick Jones performing well to earn that fifth year option will open up a lot of paths for the Steelers to pick in terms of who they want in Round One. A lot of Offensive Firepower to choose from.

Now and, to sum up, where I stand?! Pittsburgh will be trading up in the 2026 Draft. For who remains to be seen.

I will never wish harm on any player, much less QB, but Bill Callahan better hope that the Offensive Line can gel quickly for Cam's sake. Poor kid is gonna take a pounding. Losing Will Levis means nothing for Cam to be the week one starter but that cripples the Titans depth at the position.

Should the season go sideways for the Titans?! They will be a major player in the 2026 Draft. Of the teams I want Pittsburgh to trade with, Tennessee is my number one choice. A good haul is all it would take for the Titans to move back; Pittsburgh nabbing its signal caller of choice before others in 2026.

As it should. Franchise Level QBs are comically rare.

If the one is their on the board and a team believes he can be?! Go for broke.

Or their plan is to draft the QB in 2026, and then use those extra comp picks to draft for depth and fill out the roster .

Yeah, I can see the Titans having a top 5 pick again. They already have their QB and could be one of those teams looking to trade down.

And Brady was still a very good QB,same for Ben...A game manager for me is a limited QB who don't take huge risk and take the checkdown even on 3rd down and 7 or something like that.Ben was the opposite of that in his entire career

Allar is a Senior so he will be in the draft in 2026, the Steelers need those junior QBs to declare to get it to be 5-6 first round prospects.
