With McClendon out, Cam Thomas will get the start at nose
Personally, McClendon is outmatched at the position, I feel he should be a DE
Now Thomas who has played horribly at end will START at Nose!
The Texans and Foster are licking they're chops and i'm sure they will pound it right at Thomas. Could get ugly.

We can only hope that McCullers gets in there and crushes and keeps Thomas on the sideline.
Looking forward to Tuitt getting the start.

I think we're also going to get a fairly big sample of the big man Dan MCCullers as well.

Agree about Tuitt, and also hope McCullers has an impact - but not holding my breath. He's still fairly raw.

Don't agree that McLendon is outmatched - people need to move on from this idea that if you're not Casey Hampton's size, you can't be an effective NT. He's not a HOFer, but he's not our primary concern on the defense right now.

(Cam Thomas, meanwhile, probably is our primary concern.)

Perhaps coincidence but the run game for the Browns did improve after McLendon left the game injured

:lolol: You think you're face-palming, now? Wait until you see the Texans line JJ Watt up in front of Gilbert. :lolol:

The 3-4 is predicated on having a beast in the middle playing nose. McClendon isn't. McCullers is. Not saying that McClendon is a liability but i'm hoping to see McCullers get more playing time. He is a beast. And it showed last night pile driving offensive lineman into the backfield.
